Leo's pov

There are things you want and there are things you crave but rarely, there are things you can't live without. That's exactly how I felt when we kissed, like I can never not live without it. It's like a dam broke and all my desires flooded at once with no ending point to them. It is all I could think about, non stop.

Lazing around in the bed for the whole day just kissing Sebastian's sweet mouth sounded like heaven to me but he needed to attend his human classes so those desires of mine had to get confined just to my head. Although it didn't stop me from dashing here almost an hour before his class ended.

Tapping the steering wheel in impatience I stared at the concrete building in anticipation to provide me with the sight of my mate but to my utter discontent the pathway remained deserted. The time seemed to be crawling at a snail pace teasing my nerves.

Just a few more minutes then he is all yours - Rex says making me roll my eyes.

What's taking him so long?

Not being able to bear the boredom anymore I got out of the car and the blissful air of the evening touched my body. Revelling in the pleasant atmosphere I admired the scenery of the surroundings. The university is situated far from the town, right beside the ridgehill forest or Ghibli forest as Seb likes to refer to it. Courtesy of its resemblance to the landscapes in his favourite films. He's true, the scenery does look like something out of books.

The silence of the serene moment comes to an abrupt stop with loud rustling of the dried leaves from nearby. The gentle gush of air is now accompanied with a foul smell, hinting there's someone else in the quiet parking lot.

There's someone.

I alert Rex about it,making a haste decision about contacting Glen. As I was about to tap into the pack link, I heard them move. Retrieving my actions, I decide against it and silently move towards the source of scent, I follow the line led by the heads of cars parked in a series ending with the open ground leading to the prohibited area of the forest. Their fastened steps grow louder as they retrieve probably sensing my movement.

I run towards the sound deciding to not play the hiding game anymore, I make it through the parking lot running in between the cars as silently as possible. I can't afford to let the threat know that I am aware of them. As I move closer, the nauseating scent of that bastard fills up the space while I enter the woods nearby making their location clear.

The looming long trees and their dark shadows hides the traces of them well and I make myself disappear among the same shadows and logs waiting for the intruder to reveal themselves.

The eeriness of the forest grows with the snap of every twig and rustle of every leaf with an unsettling feeling of danger that I need to chase.

The long wait comes to halt when I catch the pitch black eyes of the beast in between the trees preparing for its chance to pounce on me and I take it as a signal to shift too, to take down the beast in its own form.

Analysing the surroundings quickly, I come up with a plan.Taking in deep breath I move in the direction. I lure it in by the fake rustle of the leaves to a different spot making it fall into the trap. The quick slide of the rocky path makes it lose its balance and the wolf falls on the ground with a thud letting out a painful growl.

I pounce on it but it dodges using the swampy area and escapes from my hold. My claws hit the ground, raking the surface and I use the log nearby to regain my balance. In a blink of an eye, the beast runs with a new emerged force and disappears from my sight. I roam around the area looking for its traces and they lead me into a narrow ravine. Shit! This is a dead end. I curse realising the beast used my own trick on me.
