OLIVER NIGHT P.O.V.
"You mean your father forced you to marry against your will?" Daniel asked
"You heard me the first time! This is so frustrating! I mean, we're in the 21st century, for crying out loud!"
"But I don't see anything wrong with what your father did," Caleb said. I and Daniel turned to look at him
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You come from a loyal family. And traditions don't change just because the times do. Besides, this whole mess is your fault to begin with," Caleb said.
"How is this my fault?" I asked
"You promised to marry this girl when you returned home, right?" Caleb said, looking directly at me.
"Dude, that was years ago! We were young and naive. I just said it, I didn't mean it. People say things all the time that they don't really mean."
"Just a 'mere word'? A promise is always a promise, and nothing changes that. So maybe it's time for you to start liking her back." Caleb said
"No way," I said, shaking my head. "You don't understand. The girl I'm talking about is way below my standards. She doesn't speak good English, she dresses like a typical village girl, and she's a disgrace."
"She dresses like a village girl because she is one, And about her not meeting my standards, you can change her into the person you want her to be" Daniel said
"I don't have time for that, All I know is that I'm not interested in her, and I never will be. End of story."
"I see a picture of her?" Caleb asked
"Eww, why would I want her picture on my phone?" I said, a look of disgust on my face. "I don't have her picture, and I never will."
"Dude, chill out, She's a human being, just like you and me."Daniel said
"She's not like you or me, She's nothing but an animal."
"Since you hate her so much, and you know that I'm single and ready to mingle, can I have her instead?" Caleb asked with a smirk. I gave him a murderous look.
"I could tell by the look on your face that there's something about the girl ,You must think she's really beautiful, no matter what you're saying about her. It's like you're in denial."Daniel said, studying my expression.
"She's not beautiful at all, Not even for a minute. She's nowhere near as beautiful as my Viola."
Caleb hissed. "Spoiled brat,"
"I love her like that, And that's all that matters to me."
"Let me tell you something," Daniel said, looking me in the eye. "No matter how long you and Viola are together, you two will never marry each other. You're not meant for each other."
"Why would you say that?"
"We don't like her, either," Caleb added
"That's not my concern,Whether you guys like her or not doesn't matter to me."
"But your family doesn't approve of her, either," Daniel said
"I haven't even introduced her to my parents yet,"
"Even if you did, they would never accept her," Caleb said bluntly. "She's selfish and lazy, and all she knows how to do is travel around. She doesn't even have time for you. Do you really want to marry someone like that?"
