CLARA ROSEWOOD P.O.V🤍
I was working on my laptop when Fred entered my office, looking annoyed.
"What's up?" I asked, setting my computer aside.
"Is it true?" he blurted out, his eyes wide with concern.
"What's true?" I asked, confused by his question.
"They're saying that your ex-husband is back and he's begging you to come back to him," he said, his voice tense.
"So, why are you so worked up about it? What does it matter to you?" I continued typing, focusing on my work.
"What do you mean by that?" You know I'm still interested in you! I'm trying to win you over!" Fred yelled
"Hey, Mr. Man, You don't have the right to shout at me in my own office about my personal life. I mean, how does it affect you? It's my life and my decision to make." I was getting angry now.
"But, Clara..." Fred started to say, his voice trailing off.
I waited, not sure what he was going to say next. A part of me wanted him to stop, but another part of me wanted to hear what he had to say.
"Point of corrections Miss Clara to not Clara, with all due respect, I think you may have taken my friendliness for granted. In the future, please knock before entering my office, and please remember that you don't have the right to come in here unless it's a business matter. Now, please leave my office." I tried to sound confident and assertive, but I was still a little nervous.
Fred just stood there, looking shocked and hurt.
"But, Clara..." Fred started to say, but I cut him off.
"I said, 'Miss,' now get out of my sight," I yelled.
He turned and left without another word, and I felt the tension leave my body. I took a deep breath and tried to relax. I knew I had done the right thing, but it still didn't feel good......
OLIVER NIGHT P.O.V ❤️
I sat down on my bed, thinking about what I had done to Clara. I felt the pain I had put her through, the suffering she had endured because of me. I regretted not fulfilling my promise to her, my promise to marry her and love her. I felt tears welling up in my eyes.
What had I done? I had let my own selfish desires get in the way of her happiness. I had let her down, and I didn't know if I could ever make it up to her.
Just then, the door opened and Ariel entered. I sat up and saw her face, her eyes red and puffy
"Hey, baby," I said, my voice soft. She walked up to me and I took her in my arms.
"Dad," she said, her voice small.
"What's wrong?"
"Can I sleep here with you tonight?" she asked, her eyes pleading.
"Of course, princess," I said, pulling the covers up around her. "You're always free to sleep here, anytime."
"Thank you, dad," she said, snuggling into the covers.
"Anything for you, my princess," I said, feeling a surge of love for her. No matter what had happened between me and viola, Ariel would always be my daughter......
Clara rosewood p.o.v 🤍
I was at home, working on my laptop, when I heard a knock on the door. I rushed to open it, and there was Oliver, standing in the doorway.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, my heart pounding.
"I'm not here to trouble you, I just want to talk."
I paused, unsure of what to do. I could feel the tension in the air, but I didn't want to be rude. I stepped aside and let him in.
"Clara, first of all, I'm so sorry for not fulfilling my promise to marry you and love you forever, I know how much I hurt you. I know I caused you so much pain. I regret everything I did, every single day. I regret treating you badly, and I regret chasing you out of the house that night. I swear, I'm so sorry." He looked up at me, his eyes filled with tears.
I stood there, frozen, as the words washed over me. I didn't know what to say. I didn't know if I could forgive him.
"I know there's no amount of words that will heal the wounds I've caused you, I know the wounds are very deep. But all I'm asking for is your forgiveness. And please, let me spend some time with my kids. After that, I promise to leave your life for good."
He wiped his tears, then turned to leave. But before he could go, I reached out and grabbed his hand.
"Wait," I said, my voice trembling.
He turned to face me, his eyes meeting mine. Tears streamed down my cheeks, and I could see him fighting back tears of his own.
"Are you sure?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
"About what?" he asked, his voice soft and unsure.
"That you're sorry, and that you love me," I said, the words feeling heavy on my tongue.
"Yes, I'm very sorry, and I love you more than anything. I need you back in my life."
The words tumbled out of me, raw and unfiltered. "It hurts so much, all that you've put me through. It's been so painful. I was unable to see my mom before she passed away, because of you. It really hurts." My voice broke, and the tears kept coming.
Oliver drew me close and wiped my tears away with his thumb.
I buried my face in his chest, breathing in the scent of his cologne. I felt safe, in that moment, like nothing could hurt me.
"Clara, I wish you could see how sorry I am,"
"I have forgiven you,I have to do this for my kids."
"Are you sure?" he asked, his eyes searching mine. "I just want to make things right."
He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close. We stood there, hugging, for a long moment. Then, he released me and took a step back." I love you" he said
I looked at him, unsure of what to say. Of course I loved him, but I was afraid of saying it out loud again. I just stood there, staring at him.
"You don't need to be scared, I'm for real this time. I've changed."
I wanted to believe him. I wanted to let go of the hurt and the fear. I just wasn't sure if I could.
"I... I love you too," I said, my voice barely audible.
In an instant, Oliver pulled me close and kissed me. It was soft and sweet, and it felt like everything I'd ever wanted.
"Should we start all over again?" he asked, his eyes searching mine.I nodded, a smile spreading across my face. "Yes,"
"Oh my goodness, "Thank you, Clara. You mean the world to me - you and my kids."
I felt a rush of warmth as he pulled and hug me........
