Holding the old burned book in her hands Scarlett stared out her window until a loud opening of her door woke her from her thoughts "So what did Dad have to say?... Scarlett? SCARLETT!!!!?" "Sorry, Sabrina I'm just lost in my thoughts." Looking at her sister Sabrina asked "Let me guess Dad is thinking about sending you-" "Sabrina!! Please I'm worried enough about John and Ash, but the thought of going to-to." trying to contain herself from losing control of her emotions, Sabrina stood up and hugged her twin sister, "Listen I know why you're scared and Dad tells you all the time 'A good princess is able to keep her emotions controlled but sometimes it's good to you know-" "Thanks Sabrina I need that and I'm sure John and Ash are probably fine." Turning to face one another the twins let out a laugh. "Yeah yeah they are probably at home and their Dad is making them do push-ups while they read the Cadet hand book." Still laughing the twin sister's left Scarlett's bedroom "Come on let's not keep Mother and Father waiting, I also heard dinner is gonna be great! Despite us being grounded."

"DAD!! COME ON IT'S BEEN HOURS!" Ashley protested exhausted from the two hours of strenuous push-ups, "Yes, I know but I said you guys had to read the Law and Order section front to back until you know what the word FORBIDDEN means!!" replied General Kyrin watching as John did silent push-ups trying to fall over from exhaustion and watching as his daughter trying her best to not make a snarky response in his head he kept thinking 'Oh Ashley if you only knew the truth you wouldn't be doing this right now. Maybe you would-Ah nevermind that's a story for another time.' thought the mighty general "Alright you two let's get inside before your mother gets on my back for making you do this, also you guys are grounded for awhile." John and Ashley turned to each other "Hooray!!" Ashley spoke up "Keep it up Ashley and you will be babysitting the mini cadets." "I'd rather be grounded for life." John smiled at his sister "Well be happy we are grounded then." "You guys are also doing dishes after dinner." Kyrin stated walking inside the building, John and Ashley stopping in their tracks, "But, we do dishes everyday?" John replied to his father "Good then you will have no problem do them all and making sure the house is cleaned before your mother gets home." Kyrin smiled at his kids as he turned away.

In the dining room of the palace, the girls father sat at the end of the long oak table, on the right side of the table was his wife. Slowly Scarlett and Sabrina entered the room taking their seats across from their mother. Dinner was dreadfully silence, until their father spoke "Girls I wanted you to know, I'm not punishing Ashley and John even though they also broke the law, but that doesn't mean that General Kyrin can't punish them for it." "That means that John and Ash aren't being removed from the cadet core." Scarlett wondered, "Yes, they can stay in the cadet core." Sabrina and Scarlett turned to each other smiles on their faces "Thank you father and I don't think we should worry their father is probably already has them grounded." Scarlett laughed and thanked her father for being merciful towards her friends. After dinner Scarlett kept her end of the deal and returned the book to her father "Now Scarlett this is a story you cannot tell your friends this story and before I tell you this story I want to make a deal with you, if you agree I will tell you what you want to know but if you don't then this ends here," fear struck down Scarlett as her father's tone became more serious "What's this deal you have?" Scarlett questioned weary of his response.

"In two weeks Kingswood Academy is holding an open house for young royals to visit and explore the boarding sch-" "DAD!! I know I have my issues but boarding school please no-" "Let me finish, in a few days you go to the village to visit the medical and army centers. If it goes well with no problems and you don't ditch the guards this time then we won't go to the open house." Scarlett nodded her head "I-" her father interrupted her "This exactly why I think going is a good idea, but if I find out that something happened and believe me I will, then it is set that we are going but if you can do this visit without any disturbances then I will reconsidered. Am I understood?" Scarlett stood in the cold library staring at her father trying to gather her thoughts. Scarlett felt as though the world around her was collapsing in "Scarlett?" a muffled voice could barely be heard through her thoughts and a hand on her shoulder broke her thoughts "Know you are nervous but you can do this." "Yeah, you're right Dad. I can do this and I promise I will try my best." her father nodded "So did you bring the book because I believe I owe you a story." Scarlett nodded returning the book to her father.

Returning the book to its rightful place Scarlett spoke "So, what happened that night." her father heaved a deep sigh before lighting a candle. "My great grandfather told me the story of how the west and the south were united through the marriage of Prince Silas and Princess Amaya. Now Amaya was the oldest daughter of King Edwin, the night the Silas and Edwin met that was the when Silas made his proposal towards the King to marry his only daughter, his reasoning was 'in order for peace to return, we need to connect the Kingdoms and work with each peacefully' King Edwin agreed to these terms. But what those two didn't know was that when Prince Ryder was thrown out of the room for his disrespect, he was enraged. This book held the history of the whole world within it it had been passed down for generations, that night Prince Ryder was enraged by his uncle it pushed him over the edge and he broke into a room similar to this one and set it ablaze." Scarlett's eyes widened in curiosity 'So that's why the book is in such bad condition and why it's heavily guarded.' her father continued "What Prince Ryder didn't expect was that by setting the book ablaze they say he woke an ancient spirit that set the whole castle ablaze causing it to burned to the ground. That night King Edwin lost his young son in that fire but in all the casos Prince Silas risked his life to save Edwin's wife, Amaya, and that book you see before you." setting the old burned book back into the vault of the library, "But, wait what happened between Prince Silas and Princess Amaya?!?" Scarlett questioned her father "Well they were engaged months after the castle burned down and when they were married they created a joint kingdom between Cyrus and Edwin called Azarian Clan." "Ohh well that makes more sense. Wait is that how the Wisterian and Alexandrian Clans were made?" Scarlett still had more questions but to keep her father's deal she kept them to herself "Yes, that is how those two clans were made the Wisterian clan was formed between South and East and eventually the Alexandrian was formed after a lot of struggle between North and South."Scarlett and her father sat in the darkness of the dimly lit library quietly until Scarlett yawned "Well according to Mother I have a dress fitting tomorrow which will probably will take awhile, so goodnight father." her father slowly nodded walking towards the door opening to let his daughter out "Good night Scarlett." Turning back towards the centre of the library laughed broke through the silence.

"haha, my older brother is lying to his own daughter." a chuckle filled the quiet room "That story isn't a lie but it's better than the truth." Edward admitted to the voice in the shadows. Jumping down from the upper levels of the library landed a tall man into the center of the room Edward stepped forward into the soft light of the candle "Is everything ready for next week?" he asked the mystery man and responded "Yeah we're almost ready just working a few more things out. But are you sure you want to do this to her?" the King sighed "If it can keep her and Sabrina out of trouble and somewhere safe, from what's coming then yes! I'm doing it!" "Alright, well don't say I didn't warn you about this decision-" "I wouldn't talk! you lost that right after what you did." "I know what I did! I just hope this won't destroy your relationship with her." Silence filled the dimly lit room once again "Well I shall take my leave, goodbye brother." soon after the mysterious shadow left Edward sighed to himself "I'm sorry my daughters but I have do what has to be done to keep you safe."
