*Scarlett's POV*
Once a year, every year the Twelve Kingdoms meet in the capitol Kingdom, or what everyone knows as ColourKore a highly populated kingdom of traditional values. But there are some things about ColourKore that are kept hidden like its roots and deep ancestry to the Magic Users they lived thousands of years ago. Atlas told me that ColourKore was the Magic catalyst of the world, but what that means I will probably never know. "Scarlett are you paying any attention to me." father asked, "Yes, I know that ColourKore has a very different type of rule compared to the other Kingdoms and I even know the differing relationships between the Kingdoms. I am prepared and ready, you do not need to worry." I said in a confident tone.
Shortly after we arrived at the palace in the heart of ColourKore we were met by five members of the High Council of ColourKore, two of the five members were female and the other three were male. They greeted our father and mother, then they turned to me "You I assume are Scarlett the Eldest daughter, I have heard that you are quite spirited." The woman in the middle said, "Yes you are correct I am Scarlett." I continued speaking watching as one of the men standing behind watched me every movement, "I am Amelia, I'm the head of the council of ColourKore and these people are my advisors." Amelia spoke and then turned toward Sabrina and Aria and welcomed them to ColourKore. My attention was divided between Amelia, my family, and the other council members standing on the stairs to the palace.
My focus was quickly brought back when Amelia addressed our entire family "I welcome you all to ColourKore but remember these next two weeks you are invited here under the laws of neutral territory. Leave all personal, political feelings at the door." She said before turning around and walking up the stairs into the castle.
*First Person POV*
In the centre of Colour was a town square where all met in front of a glittering crystals. Inside the castles were statues of the many different leaders of the world engraved in stone. Soon other kingdoms arrived, Scarlett watched as Amelia and the other council members gave the same speech to them from a balcony many stories off the ground. 'Well there is no turning back now.' Scarlett thought to herself watching as Hunter, Crestella, and Irene from Kingswood arrived through the main gates of the palace. "So are you gonna just stand there in the shadows or are you gonna tell what my father has you doing while spying on me." Scarlett said turning around facing the shadows.
A small chuckle came from the doors as a tall man stepped out of the shadows, "You have nothing to worry about Scarlett, I am the last person your father wants to see. I just wanted to come and officially meet my niece." Caelum said walking out onto the balcony, "We haven't met my name is Caelum, your father has no control over you here in ColourKore we have a law-" Scarlett interrupted "Called the law of Liberty in which when inside of neutral territory you are free to choose you life unless you turn 18 years old then you have to decide your path and if not you will be." Scarlett stopped and turned back to face the kingdoms entering below.
Caelum walked up beside her, "ColourKore Law is harsh but there are times it comes in handy." Scarlett and Caelum stood there as Caelum spoke explaining why they had never met. Scarlett left as the sun was setting and met up with her family in the centre of the palace. Amelia opened with a speech while Caelum and many of the main military members stood lining the walls of the upper levels. The council member from before approached Caelum, "I know what you're gonna say." Caelum stated facing the council member, "Caelum I know what happened between you and your brother. I'm asking you to not cause trouble with him." the council member said, Caelum said "You have nothing to worry about James, if it comes down to it I will protect Scarlett. I failed to protect her before but I won't this time and I will fix the mistakes I have made." Caelum said returning to his position on the balcony.
*Three Hours Later*
"Dad please we promise to be careful." Scarlett and Sabrina asked their father to let them go out with their friends. Edward than spoke "No. ColourKore is dangerous, you could get hurt." he said Scarlett thought for a minute then spoke up "Dad please we are-" "NO don't try that act on me 'We're the future' Scarlett." Edward said but was interrupted but other voices descended the stairs behind their group. "You have really nothing to fear ColourKore at just past sunset is the perfect time to explore, and we will go with them." Caelum said. The two men behind him were dressed in military colours of the west and east district armies.
Caelum walked up beside Edward and the other kingdom's rulers and spoke to the young royals "We can protect you don't worry." Caelum said guiding the young group of royals out the doors of the castle. After they left Amelia and the other council members appeared from one of the many side rooms in the castle "You all have nothing to fear Caelum will protect them and plus the sun just set which the guards are out and they're doubled at night." Amelia said smiling as she guided the Kings to a separate and sat them down at a long table. "Now we do need to discuss something. An unknown enemy has been attacking different Kingdoms and we need to figure out who it is."
*Outside of the Castle*
Caelum let the young royals explore the market surrounding the castle, Hunter and Scarlett spent much time talking about home and how much it had changed but a voice broke through into Scarlett's thoughts 'Scarlett! I know you can't technically respond but you need to listen I was wrong. I did some exploring through time and something is coming something big, I don't know what it is but I need you to find it.' Atlas spoke into her thoughts. "Hunter I'm sorry but I have to go." "It's okay, have fun." Hunter said watching as she left.
Suddenly the Earth beneath their feet began to shake, as earthquakes rattled the ground. In all the panic of people trying to escape Caelum gathered all the royals and the generals "Get them to safety now! Wait where is Scarlett." Caelum asked, Hunter's face turned pale in fear "She left me just before this happened." he said fear in his tone. Caelum gave instructions quickly to the fast approaching guards telling them to protect the people and then turned to face the group "Get them back to the palace I will find Scarlett and get her back." Caelum said before leaving the group, 'Damn it Scarlett why do I always have to save you.' Caelum thought before seeing Scarlett standing on the hill behind the market.
The ground settled as a comet lit up the sky in neon blue, Caelum soon noticed a figure standing in the woods beside the hill, 'Hmm, looks like we have company.' Caelum thought, running up beside Scarlett, "Are you alright?" "Yes I'm fine." Scarlett starred up into the night as the stars above as beams of light lit up the dark skies.
