I could easily run away...

I ran as fast as i could..
I ran into a Forest which had a sign infront of me.

City 1 miles away.

If I could go to the city I could call for help and go back to Jackson...

When I ran through the forest I saw two runners walking around..
I hid behind a tree panicking.
Shit shit..

My gun only had 3 bullets and if I mess up I'm dead..

It's been 5 minutes and I'm still hiding not knowing what to do.

I decided to just go for it.
I stood up as I revealed myself as the two runners decided to run after me.
I pointed my gun at one of their heads hoping I shoot correctly.

A loud shot hit as I hit both heads.

I breathed hard as I fell on my knees trying to recover from that panic.

I ran as fast as I could. I was out of breath, breathing heavily as I run.
I arrived as quick as I thought.
There I was in the middle of the streets it was empty and not a single person in sight.
There I saw a sign infront of me.

Santa Barbara beach 10 minutes away.

I ignored the sign as I ran straight to the streets.
I ran as my heart startet to beat fast and I was out of breath.

"BRI"

A familiar voice called my name.
Suddenly I felt a feeling..a feeling for hope,
I turned around to see who it was and it was Ellie.

"Ellie..?"I was shocked..

I ran to her as she hugged me tight.
I cried in her arms "Ellie I missed you so much"
"I missed you too..cmon let's go home"she ran her fingers through my hair as she kissed my cheek.
I slowly pulled away as I saw her injuries.
"You are injured"I said.
"It's nothing"she acted like she was fine but I was sure she wasn't.
"No you are hurt"I touch her knee that was busted.
"Do you have any bandages with you?"I ask.
"Yes it's in my backpack"she takes it off as she hands me it.
I open her backpack and take bandages out as Ellie sits on the floor.
I slowly wrap the bandages around her knee as I tie it.
I felt Ellie's gaze on me as she looked at me with lovable eyes.

"I finally got you"she smiles.
"I'm glad you did"I kiss her knee as I hug her tight.

"How did you find me?"i ask.
"I followed Abby's traces and it lead to here,it took a little to go from Jackson to Santa Barbara but it was worth it"she explained.

"Where's Abby?"She asks.

"I think she got attacked"I say.
"We should find a way to get out of here, Santa Barbara is filled with dangerous people"She reminded me.

"Do you have a gun with you?"i ask.

"Yeah but you have to stay beside me okay?"she catches my gaze as I smile at her.

I held Ellie's sleeve as I was close to her.
I felt safe with her beside me.

"I promise we will get back to Jackson safely"she whispers in my ear.
I couldn't help but blush, there's something in Ellie that makes me feel so connected to her.
It felt like I've known her my entire life.

"I love you"The words came out of my mouth as I looked up at her.

"I love you too"she looked down at me as her fingers ran through my hair.
"You don't know how badly I missed you"she said.

"I heard you went on a rampage"I raise one eyebrow.

"I did, I killed half of Seattle"she smirked.

"Ellie."
"What? They were annoying as fuck, and besides..it's their fault"she shrugged.
