Kuromi started tearing up at the fact that this Kamui had witnessed the original owners death and he got reborn to save her

Kuromi sniffed back some tears which Kamui noticed "what wrong" Kamui said as he stopped walking away and walked towards her

"I...I was just..." Kuromi said trying to wipe away the tears running down her face Kamui wiped away her tears with his sleeve

Kuromi then caught Kamui off guard by hugging him Kamui's eyes widen slightly never having felt the love and affection he should have had from his parents

Kamui hesitates for a moment before he finally relaxed heaving a relaxed sigh and hugging her back feeling his chest warm slightly

Flashback to Kamui's childhood...

Kamui looked at his parents as they kept  arguing with each other his father was the original ghost king at the time while his mother was a normal human

Kamui went to go see his teacher Himuro Onizuka "hmm...you seem a little bit down is something wrong little prince" Himuro said

"My parents keep fighting" Kamui said looking at Himuro "hm well there's always going to be a Rocky relationship one way or another" Himuro said

"Do people always argue when they get married...then I don't want a bride" Kamui said as Himuro gave him a pitiful look

Years later...

Kamui had just killed a rogue demon but got injured in the process he leaned against the tree waiting for himself to slowly heal

"Are you ok" a child's voice said as he turned his head to see a red haired oni child which reminded him of his master Himuro Onizuka

"Leave me you should go back to where you were" Kamui said but he heard a fabric ripping and the child pressed the ripped fabric against his injury

Kamui stared at the child who was obviously crying but not because of fear but because of worry the tears leaked through and healed his injury making his gaze soften at his savior

Some years go by with no luck in finding his savior and he was about ready to give up...until

He saw her as the sacrificial bride but with each day that passed he seemed to grow more and more fond of Kamui he was afraid that if he got too close they would start arguing like his parents did

One night Kamui woke up but sensed danger Kamui went to go check up on Kuromi but she wasn't anywhere in her room

Kamui started to panic and he quickly went out to look for her only to see her lying dead on the ground

Kamui's gaze lingered on her figure as she affectionately clung to his arm 'I swear this time I will not fail to save you' kamui thought to himself

A week later...

Kuromi walked into Kamui's study and saw him witha writing brush doing some kanji he heard the sliding door open but didn't look up from what he was doing

"Did you need something" Kamui said as he kept writing "um...my liege I was wondering if you maybe could take me to the lantern festival tonight" Kuromi said

Kamui's hand froze and he set down the writing brush finally looking up at Kuromi "Wulfen can escort you" Kamui said

Kuromi blushed "but wouldn't it be a great chance for us to become closer as husband and wife" Kuromi said as she shyly smiles at Kamui

'Why is history changing she didn't go to the festival the last time...but I suppose it would give me a chance to keep a close eye on her' Kamui thought to himself

"Very well I will accompany you to the festival" Kamui said as he stood up and walked towards Kuromi and pulled her hand to his lips and gently kissed her knuckles

Kuromi blushed 'wolfy did you expect this to happen' Kuromi thought to herself as she got flustered "get ready for tonight" Kamui said as Kuromi nodded

That night...

Kamui stood in front of Kuromi's room "I'm almost ready just a moment please" Kuromi said as she opened the door Kamui saw her in the same kimono she died in

Instantly images went through his mind and he became overprotective of her "are you ready to depart" Kamui said "yes" Kuromi said blushing slightly

At the festival...

People were wearing traditional masks, wearing festive clothes and having fun Kuromi was holding hands with Kamui as she excitedly went to the festival

Kamui could see her eyes sparkle with amazement while looking at everything "is this your first time going to a festival" Kamui asked

"Yes..." Kuromi said flustered and embarrassed Kuromi saw a dango stand and her mouth watered Kamui bought a box of dango and gave it to her

"Eh...you didn't need to" Kuromi said "if you want something just ask there's no harm in being selfish at times" Kamui said looking at her

Kuromi blushed and smiled gently then kissed his cheek making Kamui's eyes widen slightly in surprise then Kuromi got embarrassed

"Oh well...let's keep looking" Kuromi said walking ahead Kamui lightly touched the cheek that was kissed by Kuromi then followed after her slowly

There was a mask stand and Kuromi put on a cat mask "nya" Kuromi said as a joke Kamui just stared blankly at her as she awkwardly pulled the mask off

"Too much..." Kuromi asked feeling a little awkward Kamui put the mask back on her face and kissed the side of the mask as if he kissed her cheek

"No...it's perfect" Kamui said a ghost if a smile appeared on his face making Kuromi blush the smile left as soon as it appeared as Kuromi puts a white tiger mask on Kamui in embarrassment then she heard a ding
