MYRA
I didn't realise how long I had been in Santiagos room until I saw Juliano in the halls. Visible to his red eyes, he's high as a kite.
After stopping me in the halls, he suggested I join him for a walk outside and seeing as I've been really confused this entire day. I figured why not? I need some answers anyway.
The Italian house compound was isolated in a strict area, with no neighbors and only the huge mansion in the middle of nowhere. To my surprise, the guards stood in defense outside as we walked around the compound.
They did not look tired at all.
"You and Christian, huh?" He's now changed into a simple white t-shirt and lit his blunt with a lighter.
"Yeah, we're evolving I guess."
God, I feel so guilty for doing that with Santiago. Even though Chris and I left off on bad terms, I really shouldn't of done that but the more I want to force myself to regret, I just don't.
"To be completely honest with you, I would never imagine to see Christian with a girl like you." He comments and looks down at me as we walk beside the pool.
"Why's that?"
"I'm surprised you're asking me that," He puffed out and I hug my jacket, getting interested at where he was going with this, "Christian and I have a history, a shocking one I'd say."
"We're you guys friends?" I question to the brand new information.
"More like brothers, back in high school. It was me, him and Santiago, at the time we all grew up together." He spills and keeps his eyes ahead.
"I'm guessing you're not close anymore?" I ask, scrunching my brows.
"No, we're not but that's besides the point. I'm just tell you to be careful with him." He exhaled the toxic air and blowed it out in the air, seeming serious.
I tilt my head to the left, deep in my thoughts.
Chris doesn't seem like the type to do that but Juliano knows him better than I do.
I've fully caught on Chris and Santiago not having a liking to each other, it's more obvious than ever. I've always wondered why?
I pulled my lips into a straight line, "If you don't mind me asking, what happened between you guys?"
"Disagreement, trust issues. He did some fucked up shit years ago to Santiago, that can't be fixed." He says and let's out a heavy breath before looking down at me as we come to a halt.
I didn't want to push him for answer, seeing as it's a hard topic to discuss.
"Anyway, we aren't here to talk about him." He pulls out a flip phone from his pocket and I look down at it in excitement, he starts laughing.
He knows how badly I wanted to call my parents. They're all I can think about.
"I'm sure you're freaking out to keep an update on their well-being, here." He grabs my hand and places the device in the center of my palm. "It's old but is good for calls."
I look at it and up at him, "Is Santiago not going to chop your head off?"
"He most likely will but we just have to hide it from him, hmm?" He grunts and I nod happily. Whilst being at the Italian house, we can't make any calls due to their 'enemies' tracking them. That's what Santiagi said.
This is a big step, after all.
"Of course."
"This phone is a burner anyway, don't worry." He brushes it off.
