We were invited to the bar to celebrate with the downworlders

We were invited to the bar to celebrate with the downworlders. To celebrate the death of Valentine. Luke had a bottle of champagne in his hands as he yelled out celebratory words. The champagne sprayed over everyone.

I was happy with my sparking water and cranberry mix. Alec had a thing of beer in his hand as he stood behind me. Clary and Isabelle had their champagne. I moved across the room to speak with Luke.

"Who would have known the stone face leader, is whipped," He teased.

I was confused until I turned around and saw Alec behind me. His hand was still on my arm. He hadn't let me out of his sight since we got back from Lake Lynn. I didn't blame him. Isabelle wouldn't let me leave the room either.

"He's not," I smiled as I set my drink on the table.

Luke rolled his eyes at me. Alec leaned forward pressing a kiss to my cheek. He was tipsy. He was never this physical in front of downworlders or anyone from the institute. I thought it was sweet. We were in a bar after all. I saw Simon and Maia together kissing. Clary was never far from Jace as he spoke with Magnus and a few wolves. They were all happy for us. Well happy for themselves that Valentine was dead.

"Lena," Isabelle tugged at my arm.

"I'll be back," I told Alec. He turned around grabbing my elbow as he stopped his conversation with Luke. "I'll be right back, I'm going with Isabelle." He stared at me still. "I'm not leaving the bar. I'll be right over there." I pointed to where Clary stood. He nodded letting go of my arm.

"He's really touchy," Clary smirked.

I nodded glancing back at him. He was not on the other side of Luke so he could see this corner of the bar.

"I just wanted to say this to both of you. I've grown up with brothers my whole life. They are great don't get me wrong, but I've always wanted a sister. I never expected that I would get two amazing ones in the future," She smiled. Her glass raised. "I just wanted to tell both of you how much I love you."

"You didn't have to tell me that, I can feel it," I smiled. She nodded pulling me into a side hug. They were both several drinks in, their faces pink from the intoxication.

"I'm just glad we all made it through this without dying," I joked. Clary gave me a wary look but smiled as she sipped on her drink.

"Our mark disappeared. So did Alec's we thought you were dead, but yes," Isabelle took a long drink. "I'm glad this is all finally over." I kissed her temple as she smiled.

"Isabelle, can I steal my sister for a bit?" Clary asked. Her face was serious. Isabelle nodded moving into the crowd after Simon.

"Hello," I smiled.

"I just wanted to tell you that I was sorry," She said. I shook my head confused. "When Valentine stabbed you. I was only near Jace. I didn't think he would—I'm sorry I didn't fight for you, Lena."
