Pete took a walk around Terminus before finding Tay in the office. He knocked, letting himself in as Tay lifted his eyes from the paperwork on the desk as he smiled.

"Pete, how's Vegas?"

Pete smiled and sat in his usual chair. "Good. Healthy. Bored out of his mind."

Tay laughed and nodded. He was one of the few people who knew about Vegas's condition. Vegas had to sneak out and personally assure his manager that Pete was legit and had not kidnapped him. Ever since then, Pete and Tay had become quite friendly. He was certainly more amicable than Vegas, in Tay's experience.

"And how are you holding up?"

"Good. Great."

"You seem happy."

"I am," Pete said, tilting his head to the side. "Vegas is doing well and the business is booming. Not much to complain about."

Tay laughed, running a hand through his hair. "I wish I could find a mate like you. But I'm not ready for Pups yet. Too busy."

"I can tell! The new drink menu is really something."

"Thanks," Tay said, smiling warmly. "I should be able to send you the updated numbers on Monday."

"Sounds great," Pete replied, standing again. "I'll take another lap around to see if any of the servers need anything and I'll get out of your hair. You'll hear from either myself or Nop soon, I'm sure."

"Don't keep Vegas waiting too long," Tay said with a wink before turning back to his paperwork.

"Never," Pete agreed under his breath.

He moved briskly, getting a smile and a nod from the staff. One person stopped him to alert him of a minor situation before he could get out the door, though.

"Sorry," the recently hired server said. "I think that Omega is getting hassled, but I don't want to cause a big scene."

"I'll handle it," Pete said, "Just let Tay know what happened when you see him again."

The server nodded and Pete moved to monitor the table in question. Two women, a tall brunette Alpha and a bleach blonde Omega with sharp eyes, were arguing. From what Pete could gather, the Omega was more than a little intoxicated and wanted the Alpha to leave her alone. Pete didn't remember ever seeing them before, not that he was there often.

"Hello ladies," Pete said loudly to be heard above the music. "I'm with management. How is your evening going? Have you had a chance to try the new drink menu?"

The Alpha scowled in his direction. "We're fine. She's just had a bit too much of your new menu."

Slurring her words, the Omega moved to stand, unsteady on her feet. "I don't know her. She's been bothering me all night."

Pete reached out an arm to gently help the woman to her feet as he said, "Would you like me to escort you out? I can call a cab."

"Yes, please," she answered, smiling blearily at Pete.

"Whatever," the Alpha said, grabbing her drink as she left.

Before she could get too far, Pete called out, "Don't bother anyone else or I'll have you banned. We don't tolerate that behavior here."

"Noted," the Alpha responded rudely.

Pete frowned but turned his attentioned back to the Omega clinging to him.

"Let's get you home safe."

Pete waited with her by the curb. He had already called a cab, but he wasn't about to leave an intoxicated person alone on the street. The woman was still holding his arm, but every time she tried to move she almost slipped in her heels, so Pete didn't think anything of it.
