Beach House

I woke up to my phone ringing. my day off. I didn't look at the caller I.D. I just answered.

"Hello" I muttered into the phone

"Emma please just listen to me I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just forgot like you are now. I've never loved anyone more. I will do anything to make it up to you" he said

"Austin..." I said

"No it's okay take your time to think and I'll come over later" he hung up

I screamed into my pillow.

I sat up and decided to get dressed in a red top with no straps, jean shorts, red sandals, light makeup, and my hair down with a red head band.

Maddie was working today so I had the house to myself. I heard the door bell ring and got up to answer the door.

I opened the door and there sat Austin.

"Austin how did you find the apartment" I said

"I asked your mom" he said

"Austin look I know..." I started

"Emma I love you. Please come back to me" he said

"I have a boyfriend" I said

"Don't play this trick like I did but I'll forgive you" he gave me a small small smile

"I really do have a boyfriend" I said and I've never seen more sadness on his face

"I'm sorry" I said

"No I'm sorry that I hurt and and didn't support you. This is my fault because if I did support you this wouldn't be happening" he said almost crying

"Austin..." I said

"Well" he sighed "can we still be friends I need you to be in my life. Even if your not mine it's better than nothing"

"Sure" I said hugging him

"But if he ever hurts you I'll be here" Austin said

"Thank you" I said

"Do you want to catch up" he said

"Yeah now that we're friends, come in" I said

"How was Princeton" he asked

"It was good i got my masters in the medical field" I said

"I got my masters in business like selling houses and stuff" he said

"Cool" i said

There was a silence. You could practically see the awkward in the air.

"So are you going to get a girlfriend" I asked

"Never" he said

I got a phone call from work saying that they needed me in now.

"That was work" I said "I have to go"

He followed me out the door. Then I headed off to work.

Nate and My relationship grew. I hadn't talked to Austin for a while. I wanted to move on but my mind kept drifting back to Austin.

The door bell rang and I opened the door.

"Hey Austin" I smiled

"Hey" he said

"So my parents own a beach house just 2 hours away and I was wondering if you wanted to come but don't worry other people are coming too. Like Kyle Adam Zack and Wesley. If you want you can take your roommate, Liz, and your... boyfriend." he said

"Cool I'd love to come, what week" I asked

"Next" he said

"Oh Nate won't be able to come he's going to visit his family" I said

His smile grew.

"No funny business though" I said

"Only if you want" he said kissing my forehead then grabbed my butt

"Austin" I scolded he let go

"Ok ok it was just a joke" he said

"Ok then I gotta run" he said leaving

Tomorrow I was leaving for the trip. I was so excited. Nate left the day after me.

"So I have everything right" I said as finished checking my suitcase

"I'm just enjoying the view" Nate said since he was behind me and I was bending over

"Stop" I laughed as he grabbed my waist

"Ok but I'm going to miss you" he said into my hair

"It will only be 2 weeks" I said kissing him

"That seems like forever" he said

"Ok well I'm going to check on Maddie then go to sleep" I said

"Ok I'll see you in two weeks" he said leaving

"Maddie you got everything" I said popping into her room

"Yep just double checking" she said

"Well I'm going to sleep" I said

"Night" she said

I woke up the next day and got dressed in a black sports bra with a purple shirt over top that you could see my bra in, black shorts, sandals, and my hair down.

We were taking Kyles pick up truck, and Wesley's red convertible.

Me, Maddie, Liz, Austin and Wesley in Wesley's car. Kyle, Adam, and Zack in Kyle's car. We were putting our suitcases in the back of Kyle's pick up.

Wesley came to pick us up at 12 in the afternoon. We got in the car then I saw Liz. She looked so different. She has streaks of pink blue and green in her blond hair.

"Liz" I squealed

"Emma! I've missed you so much" she screamed in excitement

"Me too!" I said

For an hour we caught up then the car ride was silent until 'Shut Up and Dance' by Walk the Moon came on and everybody sang along. When the song was over we started to talke

"Does anyone else feel like teenagers again" I laughed

"I know right almost everything about up screams teenagers" Liz said

"So I know the big question everyone's been thinking, drum roll please... why did Austin and Emma break up and how are they now friends" Wesley said

I laughed and so did Austin

"Well basically we broke up before I went to collage then I came back we got in a fight. Austin tried to get me back. I got a boyfriend. Then he asked if we could be friends and I said yes. And that's where we are now" I explained

"But don't worry we are over it now" Austin said and we all laughed for the next hour we just talked and caught up with each other.

We got to the beach house and it was beautiful we all picked out our rooms (room layout above).

This was going to be great
