Chapter 5: Icey Situation

Qibli POV:

"Man, I forgot that it's cold just being near the ice kingdom, we still have like 250 feet to fly." I said, shivering. It was so cold, I felt like I was... dying. All of a sudden, my wings gave out and I started falling. "QIBLI!" Retro said, rushing down to catch me. But, he couldn't make it. I landed with a thud. "It's... so.. cold." I said. "Here, just eat these and you should be fine." Retro said. He handed me two items, but I could barley seen them as my vision was getting blurry. I ate both of them without restraint, and it surprisingly worked. I felt a whole lot better, and I didn't feel as cold anymore. "Thanks, but what did you give me?" I asked. "Well, I gave you two potions. One helped heal frostbite, and the other... prevents it in a way." Retro answered. "Qibli, are you... what happened to you?" Winter asked as he landed. "What are you talking about? And yes, I'm fine. A lot warmer too." I answered. "Here, you might want this." Jay replied. He handed me a mirror, I looked at it, and... my scales are gone and now there's fur?! "Retro, what did you do to me?!" I yelled, furious. "Relax, relax, I just gave you a temporary potion that changes your scales to fur. They should change back to normal in 19 hours." Retro explained. "Whatever, let's just go do this." Winter said.
