Chapter 8: Turn After Turn

Winter POV:

"C'mon Qibli, keep up!" I yelled. "But you're going so fast, it's almost impossible!" Qibli yelled back. "Ugh, fine, I guess I can slow down." I agreed as I stopped and waited for Qibli. "Geez, why are you so slo-" I started before Qibli interrupted me. "Shhh! ...Do you hear that?" He whispered as a faint voice could be heard. "Now, I just need to figure out what to do about those four. Those little pests have ruined both of my plans!" We both ate a bite of our invisi-fruit and went inside. "S-sire, I don't necessarily believe we can get rid of them, o-our prototype is still barley even started! H-h-however, I do think we can delay their progress if we-" What looked like the assistant said. "SILENCE! Do you hear that?" The boss asked. I covered my mouth and Qibli covered his almost instantly. "N-no sire. Do you hear something?" The assistant asked. "I thought I heard breathing, but maybe it was just us. Very well, you may continue." The boss said.

Qibli & I rushed out as quietly as possible, and tried to get to Retro & Jay. We finally caught up and tapped them on the shoulder, with our invisi-fruit conveniently running out. "Hey guys, find something?" Retro asked. "Yes... Whom I assume is Phy has some sort of machine in the works to get rid of us, and... three moons, give me a second to catch my breath." I gasped. "Dealing with one was enough trouble, why would you want three?" Retro joked. (B: I hate myself for putting this here.) "But, on a serious note, while I do want to deal with Phy more directly... I do feel like we need to go back home and figure out a plan." Jay responded. "You? Planning things? Ok, now we're dealing with something serious." Retro said with a smirk. "I will shove (B: Give me one good reason I should put this here, and I might.) so hard up your (B: Same for this.), you won't be able to walk for four weeks." Jay replied. "Alright fine, let's go home." Retro agreed.
