Hana's POV

It was a random, boring Monday when JYP called every student at JYPE of Idol Creation to the auditorium for a surprise assembly. We were all confused and wondering what it could be about; It was interrupting everyone's free period, after all.

Everyone piled in one by one, I was holding Jisung's hand at the time, so as to not get separated from the rest of Stray Kids. Except I was going to get separated regardless as apparently there is assigned seating.

"How odd," Jisung mentioned, slowly letting go of my hand. "We've never had assigned seats for an assembly before..."

I shrug my shoulders and kiss Jisung goodbye.

"Hana!" A teacher waves me down and points to my spot. It's next to the rest of the soloists.

My eyes widened, noticing Hyuna and Chungha in my vicinity. Even though we're in the soloist performing class together, I haven't had a chance to catch up with them in quite a while.

"Chungha, Hyuna!" I greet, bowing my head and then taking a seat in the spot labeled 'Hana,' "How's it been!"

Hyuna recently made her debut in the public eye with her hit single BubblePop, and let me tell you, it's already on my Spotify playlist.

"Idol life is hard," Hyuna confessed with a light smile. "Balancing school and performing is difficult, but it's nothing I can't handle!"

"I'm so proud of you, Hyuna," I cheer on, pumping my fists. "BubblePop was amazing!"

I never realized how many students were in this idol school. So many talented students enrolled only attempting to make their dreams a reality.

Once everyone had found their seat, JYP made himself known on the stage.

"Welcome, students!" He announced, outstretching his arms, as if we were giving each one of us a hug. I would of course deny the hug if were to actually attempt to give me, but that's not the topic at hand right now.

"I would first like to congratulate some of the students who have already made their debut, as well as the students who won this year's showcase and have been working tirelessly to make their debut happen. When I call your name or group please rise."

My heart picked up, thinking recklessly about when my name will be called.

"Stray Kids!" JYP called, and I sought out the eight of them who stood up and bowed their heads. "Hana!" Was immediately called after and my heart practically exploded with anxiety. I was not prepared for this. I stood up robotically, did a little wave, bowed, and sat back down.

Once every student/group that received recognition was called, JYP continued on why the assembly was actually held.

"Many upperclassmen may be wondering why there's assigned seating this time around, am I right?"
A series of nods followed after JYP's question.

"Well," He drawled, a cheeky smile appearing on his face. "It's to better organize you all for this big announcement!"

"Big announcement?" Chungha questions beside me.

"The winners that have just risen, alongside other strong to-be idols, will be doing collab stages!"

I gasp. A stage? With another idol? That idea alone has my heart pumping with excitement.

"When I announce your name, please come to the stage and I will allow you to introduce yourself. I will then bring forth your duet partner and then we will announce the song you will be performing."

"How exciting!" I cheer quietly.

"The first person of the first duet group will be Hyuna!" JYP shouted and I immediately turned to the girl in question, a bright expression on my face. Hyuna stands up peering at the crowd of students before exiting her spot and making her way towards the stage JYP is on.
