Hana's POV
A few weeks have passed since the first day of school and Stray Kids and I have grown very close. It always seems like they're flirting with me, though.
My father had a meeting with the vocal teacher and I was moved to a separate performing class specifically for people wanting to be solo artists. There is a ton more girls than boys in that class and I made fast friends with Chungha, Hyuna, and Somi. They're all so talented and give good advice.
Additionally, I found out there is going to be a showcase held by the school for students to form groups and perform in front of a huge, live audience. The best in each category (Apparently, they're adding a new category this year) will get pulled from their original classes and get a two-hour buffer period to focus on their group's songs and choreography. This will greatly benefit them when it comes to finally debuting.
I hop off the bus with Changbin and also Jisung, who had just recently started taking the bus again. I forgave him for trying to kiss me, not wanting to start any sort of drama.
"Did you guys sign up for the showcase?" I ask once we all reach the roof, taking a water from the community fridge.
"Duh," Minho deadpans. "It's a huge deal to win."
"The last people to win the showcase was Big Bang, and they're huge now."
"Well, what song are you going to sing?"
"It's an original that 3Racha wrote and the dancing line choreographed," Chan beamed. "Now, all we got to do is practice until we're perfectly in sync."
"What's the song about?"
"Do you remember when you were at my house and you went through my lyric book?" Jisung asks.
I think briefly back to the occasion and the painfully sad songs written in the book. "The one about people not believing in your dreams?"
"Right!" Jisung cheered, nodding his head. "We all worked together and created a song called Hellevator with that message to convey."
"Wow," I deadpan, impressed at their pure talent. "That's... Amazing you all. It sounds like you have your work put out for you. When have you all got the time for it?"
"Chan picks us up and we all go to his house and rehearse there," Seungmin answers.
"After school?" I question and a series of nods follow. "You should bring me too! I really want to see it."
Jeongin approaches me and squishes my cheeks playfully. "Nuh-uh Hana. You'll just have to see when everyone else does."
I swat his hands away, giving him a nasty glare teasingly. He gives me a pout and I laugh.
Suddenly, the bell rings to start class. I throw my water into the community fridge and grab my backpack.
"I'll see you all later!" I cheer, waving at them.
"Wait, Hana!" Chan calls, running toward me. "Let me walk you to class."
"Oh, okay! Why the offer?"
"Just want to."
Chan suddenly takes my hand and guides me to my first-period class.
"What's your favorite food?"
"Hmm," I begin, tapping my finger on my chin. "Some of the traditional Japanese dishes. They make me feel at home."
"What's your favorite drink?" Chan continues.
"Recently, I've been obsessed with strawberry milk. Why do you ask?"
