Hana's POV
Walking home, I'm greeted by an empty house. I exhale a sigh I had no idea I was holding in. Looking at my phone, I'm shocked to find out that it's almost time for me to go to work.
My father always told me to work hard until there is quite possibly nothing to do. Therefore, as soon as I made my way to Korea, I started applying for jobs. I landed a job at a pet shop close enough I can walk. It's a family-owned business, so it's quite a community over there.
I quickly get changed into my work uniform and leave my house once more. I plug in my earbuds and let myself drift into an imaginative reality. However, no matter how hard I try, my mind goes back to what occurred to me and Changbin. There's no doubt that the tingles shooting around my whole body meant something. Does it mean he's my soulmate? But if so, why did I get that feeling with the rest of Stray Kids?
Finally, I'm able to shake off the thoughts as I reach the adorable pet shop. I open the door, ready to greet the same coworker I worked with yesterday. But instead, I'm met with Minho.
"Minho?" I question slowly, perking my brow. He turns to me, holding the same expression. "What are you doing here?"
"I work here, silly. Why are you in uniform?"
"I just started here. My first day was yesterday."
"Ah," He sounded, his voice of understanding. "Yesterday was my day off. You probably worked with Yuna. She actually goes to our school as well."
"I think that was her name."
"Anyway!" Minho began. "We got stuff to do. Go ahead and clock in and let's work."
I quickly clock into the shift and approach Minho once more. We head towards the dog area of the store and begin taking out some of the dogs in need of a bath.
"Are your parents soulmates?" I had asked out of the blue as I was scrubbing a fluffy poodle.
"Yeah," He replied with a chipper attitude. "They met when they were kids and kissed on the playground."
"That's so cute! I'm sure they had plenty of time to get to know each other then."
"They did. But, they expected me to also find my soulmate at that time. And when I didn't, they got very disappointed."
"Oh, I'm sorry Minho. You'll find your soulmate one day."
"What about you, Hana? Are your parents soulmates?"
"Hell no," I replied with a condescending laugh. "My mom cheated on my dad when I was two. They thought they could make the whole 'We're not soulmates but in love' thing work."
"I'm sorry," Minho quickly pushed out. "That must've been hard for you."
"Yeah, but now my dad and I are like this," I hold up my hand, my middle and index fingers crossed.
"That makes sense."
"Did you parents," I mutter out slowly. "Did your parents ever tell you how it felt, beforehand?"
"Before the tattoo?" He questioned.
"Yeah," I nodded. "Before the confirmation that you truly are soulmates."
"My mom said that everything just feels right with that person. Like they are your other half. Whenever they touched there were tingles shooting up and down their body. Kinda like what I feel around you."
"What?" I stutter out loudly.
"Nothing, Hana. But seriously, why do you ask?""I'm just curious. I never got to hear those stories growing up."
