The room that manager-nim had booked out for Bay is identical to ours, except it's just a bit smaller to fit one person. There's a regular bed in the middle of the room, a decent sized bathroom, and a small balcony. She spots her bed and her eyes widen, a huge grin appearing on her face. She lets go of my sleeve and jumps onto the bed, feeling the soft cotton sheets under her palms.

"It's like you've never seen a bed before," Lay chuckles. Bay gets up and bows to us.

"Thank you," she says, her eyes still twinkling.

I can't help but laugh at her unique behavior.

"It's getting late now," Lay says, ruffling her long dark hair. "You should rest. We'll come see you tomorrow." She frowns.

"Baekhyun," she looks over at me, with what almost looks like fear in her eyes. "Baekhyun," she repeats.

"Oh no, hyung, no," I start saying. "I can't stay here for the night. You can't make me."

Lay looks at me apologetically. "You have to tell her that."
I sigh and approach her, rubbing the back of my neck. She cocks her head to the side, a admittedly cute habit of hers. "Bay, er, sorry. I'll come back tomorrow okay?" I tell her, putting a hand on her shoulder. She still frowns and I sigh again. "Good night, Bay," I try saying in English.

She nods slightly and crawls underneath the covers. "Good night," she whispers to the both of us. And before we know it, she had closed her eyes and fallen asleep.

"Haha, Baek, she's already quite fond of you," Lay chuckles, leading me out of the room.

"Shut up, Lay," I shake my head, taking a last peek at Bay's sleeping figure before closing the door behind me.

The very next morning, I'm the first to wake up. Maybe it's because I'm not in my own bed. I rub my eyes and look over to the bed across the room. D.O. was already asleep when I returned to my room last night. Right now, his chest is rising up and down with short delicate breaths. Even in his sleep, he looks bored. I check my phone. 6:57. There's something I'm forgetting but I can't remember.

I dress in clean clothes and get ready for a morning jog. When I open my door, however, Lay is standing right in front of me, blocking my way. "Here you go. She likes you more, anyways," he grins, handing me a keycard.

That's right. Last night's events are flooding back to me. Bay is in the room right across from mine, and I had already forgotten. Dammit. "I don't know how to speak English," I narrow my eyes.

"And I'll translate," he smiles, pushing me towards her door. "But first, I'm gonna take a shower. Have fun."

"Aish," I sigh, watching him jog back to his room.

I knock on Bay's door, and when there is no response, I open the door with the key card. The first thing I see is her back through the window. She is sitting on the ledge of the balcony. My eyes widen and I run to her grabbing her by the waist and pulling her back. She lets out a soft yelp, like a puppy that got kicked on its side, and falls into my chest. I fall back into the glass door, and I let out a grunt as the wind is knocked out of me. My right arm is still around Bay's thin waist and I don't dare move yet, afraid I might have hurt her.

She looks up and realizes it's me.

"Baekhyun," she smiles. "Good morning."

"Bay, Jesus fucking Christ!" I shake my head, remembering she doesn't understand Korean. "Uh, you could have died."

She just laughs. "No way," she says simply and walks back into the room. She looks around and back at me. "Lay?"

"Shower," I tell her. We are forced to communicate in lame one-word sentences because of our lack of understanding of the other's language.

I notice that she's still in yesterday's clothes so I ask her to wait in the room while I run across the hall and grab some of my clothes. I return to the room where she's making the bed. "Bay, you can leave that for room service," I laughed.

She cocks her head to the side again and I just shake my head. "Nevermind. Here," I hand her my clothes. However, I didn't expect her to strip on the spot.

"No! Bay," she stops taking off her shirt midway, revealing her surprisingly toned stomach. "Go there," I point towards the bathroom and she understands. She giggles and grabs the clothes off the bed and dances her way to the bathroom and looks at me, chuckling one last time, before closing the door after her.

She doesn't have any self-awareness. I sigh. Good to know.
