Fucking hell, Bay. Listen to me. He speaks quietly but with urgency, his eyes darting back and forth to make sure no one could eavesdrop on their one-way conversation, holding her down from her shoulders to stop her shaking. Listen to me. When the alarm goes off, I want you to jump out and run as fast as you can towards that exit.

She widens her eyes, shaking her head frantically, not wanting to leave her best friend behind. Hey hey hey. Listen, Bay. Listen, I'll be fine I promise.

He strokes her dark hair a couple times before leaning in to place a gentle but fleeting kiss on her forehead. I promise.

Suddenly and swiftly, he jumps out from the metal crates, grabbing a wrench that is nearby in the process, and smashes it into the closest fire alarm, causing glass to shatter and a blaring red light to flash. He adjusts his hold onto the handle of his newly acquired weapon and runs off away from where Bay is hiding. She immediately takes off, too, running as fast as her legs would allow her past big metal crates that probably contained a bunch of dangerous weapons, medicine, and drugs. Probably lots and lots of drugs.

However, that still isn't fast enough because she gets intercepted when she reaches the door that, to her, means freedom. But instead of allowing the big man in the white quarantine outfit to trap her with her personalized titanium handcuffs, she punches him with full force in the stomach causing him to fly backwards into the door, smashing it open, giving her access to said freedom.

She doesn't dare look back, not wanting to waste anymore of the precious time he made for her, and runs into the darkness, jumping over the tall wired fence with great ease and runs through the thick forest, tearing off thick branches that are in her way and accidentally scratching off old tree bark, creating marks that looks as if they are made by a wild animal. She keeps running until she reaches the freeway but a bright white light flashes her, causing her to go blind for a quick second.

She only reacts fast enough to see a gigantic van almost hitting her, and by pure reflexes, she snaps her hand up to push the oncoming vehicle away. The force knocks her back and she falls on her ass. Before she can comprehend the pain that is already starting to subdue, she hears a deep voice speaking softly to her. "Are you okay?"
