(On stage, Marthalan farmers work the fields.
Behind the audience, Kaveyan soldiers appear and begin thumping their spear on the floor in time with the drums.
They come through the hall and come on stage left as Marthalan soldiers gather stage right and escort the farmers offstage.
The fight begins. Two soldiers will be partners and always "fight" with each other.
The Kaveyans manage to fight the Marthalans off stage. Darkness.)
