Electrifying

Prologue

Tears stream down Evie's face as she grabs her phone once it's fully charged, she pulls up a number that she hasn't used in a long time. Right now she doesn't really care, right now she just wants to leave humiliation all over her body.

"Hello?" The voice a woman Evie hasn't heard in a few years answers.

"Mom?" Evie wipes her tears away looking at a photo of her with her parents and Bella, the four of them at Disney Land smiling and laughing "it's me, Evie"

"Evie?" Renee asks down in Phoenix, Arizona. She was having dinner with Phil and Bella when Evie called, both Phil and Bella look at Renee hearing her use Evie's name "um...hi, honey. How has it been?"

"Um..." Evie is trying not to cry but it's hard "mom? I know this is out of the blue but...can I live with you and Bella for a while?"

Renee is shocked looking at Bella then to Phil "Evie? What's going on? Why do you want to live with me and Bella? You love living in Forks"

Evie cries "I just want my mom right now mom, I...dad wouldn't get it and I don't want to be in Forks right now"

"Your not pregnant are you?" Renee asks

"No" Evie says "there was this guy and...mom? Is it possible if I could live with you and Bella for a while?"

"I'll talk to your father" Renee inwardly is happy at the prospect of having both her daughters with her "of course, but know that it isn't just me and Bella but also my new boyfriend too"

"Talk to him" Evie shakes her head even though Renee can't see "I don't want to be an imposition if he doesn't want me there or"

"Oh honey" Renee assured her "Phil wouldn't care" looking to Phil "Phil? Remember how I said Bella is a twin?"

"Yeah" Phil nods his head "a younger twin that lives with her father, why?"

"She wants to move in with us" Renee is smiling and trying not to sound excited over the phone but Bella and Phil can see her excitement "would either of you mind?"

"Not at all" Bella shakes her head no along with Phil.

"Their okay with you coming down Evie" Renee speaks to Evie "when does your father get off work, I'll call him"

"He gets off work around seven" Evie looks at a photo of her and someone she thought was a good guy but is nothing but an asshole in her mind.

"Okay" Renee writes it down not forgetting "I'll talk to you later okay honey?"

"Okay" Evie hangs up, Bella and Phil watch as Renee fist pumps and does a little dance.

"I'm so happy my daughter got her heart broken!" Renee exclaims, Bella and Phil taken aback sharing a confused and bewildered look.

"Babe?" Phil asks "um...your happy about that?"

"It means I'll get to have both of my daughters back under one roof!" Renee exclaims "a daughter needs her mother, especially when their heart is broken-I'll use that argument with Charlie when I call him"

"Evie?" Charlie knocks on Evie's door while she was reading a book she has read three times already and reading for the fourth time. Charlie just got off the phone with Renee confused about why Evie wanted to move in with Renee and why she didn't mention dating anyone "Um...I just got off the phone with your mom"

Evie nods her head "so you...I just need my mom now dad, it's nothing personal" not like with Bella and how she hates the cold and wet

"I didn't know you were dating" he says

"I wasn't" shaking her head "it's just...yes it was about a guy but I wasn't dating or anything and...mom would understand it more"

"How long" Charlie asks "will you be gone?"

"I don't know" twiddling her thumbs "I just know that I don't want to be in Forks right now where I feel humiliated, you know how gossip spreads fast around small towns...I'll visit for Christmas"

Charlie nods his head "Alright, tomorrow I'll go down to Forks High and unenroll you"

"Dad?" She asks "can you not tell anyone or make sure no one knows till after I'm gone? I don't want anyone to change my mind or give me pity looks"

"Sure" he agrees "though I do have a few questions? This guy? He isn't an older man was he?"

"Not really" shaking her head no "nothing happened between us, more like rejection and humiliation. Nothing more, I wasn't raped or anything..."

"Okay" nodding his head, inside Charlie is relieved to hear that but upset that Evie is leaving "okay..."

"I love you dad" Evie says

"I love you too kiddo" Charlie tries hard not to cry before Evie before walking away.
