_Henry's POV_
Without a second thought, Jo flung the blade at Adam's cranium, using tremendous force. She got him right in between the eyes, and he collapsed to the floor; dropping his blade. The children screamed; crying as they hit the floor, and we scrambled to make sure they were okay. Adam disappeared, and Jo vomited off to the side. -She'd killed him. Just like he'd wanted. She then sobbed; clutching Brayleigh tightly. Thank lord the worse they'd get is a few contusions. I ran upstairs, and Abe stirred awake; slowly regaining his consciousness. "Abraham, are you alright?" I asked; helping him to his feet. He has a lovely knot on the back of his head. "The kids.." he started. Jo climbed the stairs holding Brayleigh, and trying to keep herself together. "I killed him," she announced. "And you know what? I must have a problem. Because today's the day I didn't regret killing someone," she scowled; throwing her blade at the floor so hard that it got stuck in between the floorboards. Atticus cried, and she dropped to her knees; rocking him in her arms. "Where did you learn to..?" I began. "I've been worried about this for a while.. I taught myself," she mumbled; grabbing Abraham an icepack, while I stood frozen in my tracks. "Here Abe," she said; handing the cool blue sack to him. I peered down at her bare stomach; realizing that we're still nude.
