6 weeks later

I just came from my third external translation job and made myself something to eat. I was working on some written translations on my laptop when I saw that I had received an email. When I saw the sender, my heart was beating way too fast. I nervously clicked on the email and read it through.

E-mail:

Dear XY Jasmin

We examined your application documents and came to the following decision.
We are pleased to inform you that we would be happy to hire you for the position.

I will be in Germany 4 days before SKZ and we could meet at Hotel XY to discuss the contract. Such as the duration of the contract, the salary and the conditions/clauses.

Please let me know by tomorrow whether you would like to take up the position or decline it.

I jumped up with joy and ran through my apartment. I grabbed my cell phone and immediately called Felix and Han and our groups. They both answered after a short while of ringing and I looked into two sweaty faces.

"Oh, did I disturb you during training? If so, I'm sorry and I'll call you later." I said. "No you didn't, Jasmin, we're just taking a break." Hyunjin shouted, suddenly appearing behind Han. "What's wrong little one? Is everything okay?" Felix asked and I went to my laptop. "I have to show you something and I want to know how I should answer him. Ok?" I asked and the three agreed with me. I switched to my front camera so they could read the email.

"Oh my God. Please say yes. Otherwise I'll be mad at you if you turn down the job." Felix said, making me laugh. "I agree with Lexie." Han and Hyunjin said at the same time. I turned the camera back so they could see me again. "It will be an honor to work with you." I said and the three of them smiled at me. After some time we ended our phone call because their training was continuing. I answered the email and I was very happy that I can work with SKZ and finally get to know them in person.

Meeting with the manager of SKZ.

Today was the day that I would meet with the manager of SKZ. I was so excited, but I knew from Felix, Han and Hyunjin that the manager is very nice and friendly and most importantly he speaks English very well.

I walked to the hotel and waited for the manager from SKZ. My excitement inside me continued to grow. Then I finally saw him and he saw me too. He came up to me with a smile and we greeted each other. We sat down and first talked about ourselves as people. Felix wasn't lying, because their manager was really nice and friendly.

We talked for probably 2 hours before we got to the business part, but before that we had a little something to eat. He handed me an envelope and in it was a folder in which all the 8th members of Stray Kids were listed, but Bang Chan, Lee Felix and Hwang Hyunjin, Han Jisung and Kim Seungmin were specially marked for me because they speak English.

The manager explained to me that I had to translate for SKZ for 12 hours each day for 6 days. At events such as interviews, press events, fan meetings and at the 2 concerts. But I didn't do it alone, there were 4 of us translators in total during these 6 days. He gave me the contract, which I had to read carefully. As agreed, this was initially for 6 days and then there would be another conversation with SKZ and him about whether I would continue to work for SKZ or not.

Clauses: Do not give out the idols' private data, otherwise you will face a harsh fine and immediate termination of the contract and a ban in the entire K-Pop area.

12 hours a day for SKZ translating and supporting them.

When I finished reading, I signed the contracts and kept one for myself. We exchanged phone numbers and talked a bit more. It was very late in the evening when I got home, but that didn't stop me from writing briefly with Felix, Han and Hyunjin, who had been in our group of three for a few weeks. They were very happy to finally see me in 4 days and so was I.
