11: Christmas season!

December 22nd

It's been a long day, and I drag myself out of class into lunch. Last night I hardly slept because of stupid nightmares. But at least it's the last day of school until Christmas break, which means sleeping in and being lazy the whole time, and thankfully not having any homework.

The lunchroom is as loud as ever, and I sit in my seat next to Sally. He notices how awful I look and looks over in concern.

"Couldn't sleep last night," I explain. He just nods in understanding.

"Since it's going to be Christmas break, should we do something Christmas day? Like have a party?" Larry asks. The others brainstorm ideas, and I focus on eating my sandwich, occasionally tuning into the conversation, then zoning out.

"Ok then it's settled!" Ash cheers.

I look up confused. "What's happening?" I ask.

"We are having a small Christmas party on the 25th, at 5 PM. Bring your parents and snacks or something," Ash explains. I nod and go back to my food.

I suppose I have to start thinking about gifts for everyone. I wonder what they would all like...

December 13rd

After sleeping in till 12 PM, I got up and asked my mom to take me to the store so I could buy everyone gifts. She agreed, and said she had to do some shopping herself. So, we got into the car and went to a store right on the border of Nockfell and the next town over. It was big store that didn't just have food, it had kids' toys, some furniture, games, clothes, and other cool things.

I split up with mom and wandered around, looking for anything interesting. A pair of fingerless gloves caught my eye first. They were black and felt pretty nice. I bet Ash would like them, so I threw them into my basket; I'll also get her candy and that will be her gift. Ok just 6 more people to shop for... this was going to be a long trip.

By the end of the shopping trip, I had everyone's gifts picked out: A cat stuffed animal and stickers for his guitar for Sal, patches for his denim jacket, and some of his favorite energy drinks for Larry, a teal bucket hat for Todd, a coffee mug and coffee grounds for Neil, a whole bunch of snacks for Chug, and new makeup for Maple. I think I did pretty good.

I met back up with my mom and checked everything out, going back home so I could separate the presents in gift bags.

December 25th

Christmas morning was amazing with my parents. We had a big breakfast with bacon and eggs and toast. After eating we opened the presents, we got for each other. I got my mom a new dress, and my dad a coffee mug that had mom and I's handprints on it. They got me some new clothes, and mt favorite, a new journal to draw in.

They agreed to go with me to the Christmas party that would be at Larry's apartment. I decided to make sugar cookies to brings, and mom helped me bake them, and decorate them with red and green frosting.

I pick out a perfect outfit for the party, a red skirt and white tank top with a black sip up jacket over it. I still had an hour before we had to be at the apartments, so I watched a Christmas movie with my parents.
