Hello everyone! Surprise, a small Halloween chapter! I realized I never wrote one, but I did write a valentine's day one and Christmas one. Also, it's October so I felt a little inspired to create this.

FOR FRAME OF REFERENCE! This takes place in between chapter 3 and 4, meaning they are still seniors in high school.

I hope you enjoy reading this little fun extra :)

Please remember to stay safe during the Halloween season!

(also possible TW for violence and mentions of death towards the end. It got pretty dark pretty fast)

October 30th, 1993

"Come on please!" I grabbed at Ash's arm and shook her around. "You guys don't have any plans so why not just come out with me for trick or treating!"

"Look Katie, I just don't understand why you want to go out so bad! We're seniors for goodness sake," Ash chuckled.

"Yeah, can't we just stay home and watch scary movies?" Larry chimed in from his lounging place on his bed.

We were all here, sitting in Larry's room making a plan for Halloween night. Larry and Ash just wanted to stay inside and chill, but I had other plans.

"I never got to go trick or treating back in Cali. My old friends would just go out partying, and of course I wasn't invited, and even if I was, I didn't want to go," I sighed, releasing my hold on the poor girl's arm. Each year in the past I would stay home with my parents and pass out candy to young children on the porch. Sure, it was fun, but it wasn't what I wanted to do.

"But we don't even have costumes," Ash frowned.

"We can go out right now and get some! Please!" I continued to beg. "Come on Sal, back me up!"

The quiet boy just sat on the floor. His eyes looked deep in thought, as he considered my idea. "Eh, why not. I can be Michael Myers; I already have his mask."

"Yes! Thank you, Sal," I praised him, and he simply shrugged.

"Fine, if you both want to do it, then I guess I will to. I could be a cute witch," Ash sounded annoyed, but she quickly smiled at the thought of her future witch costume.

"I'll come too," Larry sighed, lifting himself off of his bed and towards his closet. "But I don't know what I would wear..."

"I'm gonna be a bloody bride. You know, one that is going to get married but kills her husband to be," I smiled at the disgusted face Larry made. "Larry why don't you be the groom! And I can cover you with some fake blood!"

"That would mean I need to wear a suit," he grimaced.

"Nonsense, just wear a white button up," he looked unsure, but after digging through his closet a little, sure enough he found an old button up that he would likely never wear again.

The plan had been set, and we all had our costume ideas, even Todd, who would be matching with Neil as a flower and a gardener. Kinda a cute idea. Todd on the other hand hated the idea of being a flower but would do anything to see Neil smile.

We split up from the room and went to gather our costumes. Ash and I walked to the thrift store in search of a wedding dress for me, and a black gown for her. I searched the back of the store where they had more fancy dresses, and sure enough there was a selection of old wedding dresses. The cheapest one I could find had a few stains on it, and even a small tear at the bottom of the fabric, but that only meant it would cost less. It was still fairly nice, a beautiful silk top with puffy sleeves, and it draped down to the floor. When I tried it on, it was a perfect fit.
