Wedding Shopping!” - Jeon Yeo-Bin

Authors P.O.V

The past four days had been a trial for Ri-El, her heart heavy with the knowledge that her former love, whom she still harbored feelings for, was now a fellow student at her university.

This evening was significant; it was to be a dinner with her future family, a gesture of unity before the marriage.

"Is everything in order?" Mr. Kim inquired, his voice betraying a hint of paternal concern.

"All is set to perfection, Father. Your worries are unfounded," Ri-El assured him, her confidence shining through.

Mr. Kim beamed at her, pride swelling in his chest. "My concerns are always allayed when you're at the helm, my dear."

Ri-El arched an eyebrow, her father's sentimentality catching her off guard. "You've been rather sentimental lately. What's the occasion?"

"Just a father's love," he replied, his smile unwavering.

With a nonchalant shrug, Ri-El settled onto the sofa, her thoughts adrift. The chime of the doorbell sliced through the silence, prompting Mr. Kim to answer it, while Ri-El remained seated, lost in contemplation.

We stood before the grandeur of the Kim Mansion; the Hwang siblings absent on a task we had assigned. The door swung open to reveal a figure we presumed to be Mr. Kim Joong-Ki, tall and dignified.

"Darling!" Mr. Kim opened his arms wide.

"My love!" Ms. Jeon embraced him, their affection unshielded.

A collective gasp escaped us. Had they just exchanged a kiss before our very eyes? We mentally reached for something pure to cleanse the sight from our minds.

*Breaking the fourth wall*

Eun: I'm in dire need of some 'Hobi Water.' 🌚💦

Hobi: You impish child, off to your studies!

Eun: Alright, alright, I yield. Farewell!

And off I go, running once more...

*Returning to narrative*

We cleared our throats, drawing their attention. They parted; laughter tinged with embarrassment filling the air.

"So, you are the gentleman courting our mother," Namjoon ventured, his tone formal.

"Yes, indeed," Mr. Kim responded, a trace of nerves in his voice.

An awkward silence ensued, finally broken by Mr. Kim. "Please, come inside. Ri-El eagerly awaits, especially you, my dear."
