In the blink of an eye the halls of Jade Mountain filled with dragons, a tidal wave of students fleeing from the classrooms at the sounding of the gong that dismissed them, and beginning the moment every dragon had been waiting for: The start of winter break. Winter held tight onto his boyfriend's talon as he dragged him to the hall and back to their sleeping cave, his body, and wings brushing against a new dragon every second.

This is so unorderly!! Winter thought furiously, not bothering to waste his breath and say it aloud, knowing he would just be wasting his breath. Back at the Ice Kingdom, the schools he attended for most of his life were all very orderly and peaceful. No one spoke unless they were spoken to, all the students were polite and collective, and physical disciplinary actions were always used to put rambunctious students back into place. They should do that here. Winter thought as a random Nightwing ran into him and had the gull to keep going without apologizing, It would certainly help some of the more... Troublesome students.

Qibli turned the bend where a few of the sleeping caves were lined up neatly in a straight corridor. Qibli maneuvered him to the direction of the Jade Winglet cave, halting to a stop, pulling WInter forward, and planting a big kiss on his snout!

"Get off of me!" Winter protested as he was then hugged.

"We did it, Winter! We finally get our vacation, aren't you excited?" Qibli said with a smile. Winter stopped squirming and let the Sandwing hug him, feeling himself relax from the earlier chase as he lay in Qibli's strong arms, "What's wrong? Am I just too handsome for you~?"

Winter scoffed, "Shut up." He said, holding Qibli there when he tried to pull back, "Y-Your prince needs this."

"Qibli!! Winter!!"

Winter felt somebody grab onto him. Frightened, he turned around, throwing a little bundle of sunny yellow scales into Qibli, "Kinkajou!! What did I say about doing that?!" Winter said as the tiny Rainwing got on her feet

"You guys are going to have the best time ever!!!!" Kinkajou sequel, grouping them all together in a big hug, "Moon stop being such a smokebreather and join the hug pile!"

Winter turned to see Moon a few paces back hauling two bags, one seemingly heavier than the other, "Maybe if you didn't forget to empty your pack, I'd be able to carry it easier." She said, dropping them alongside the wall, "Kinkajou are you all packed?"

"Yep!"

"Which reminds me, are you ready to go, Sandwing?" Winter said to Qibli.

"I think so, I packed before I went to bed last night so-" He stopped, suddenly looking away, "Oh! Turtle!"

Hearing Qibli's voice, Turtle broke into a run to join the group, "Three moons, I thought I'd never get out of there, it's a storm out there." He said with a sigh of relief.

"Where were you? I didn't see you as we passed your classroom!" Kinkajou said, taking a bundle of items that Moon dropped at her feet.

"I left a little early, there was something I needed to do." He explained.

"Where's Umber? Isn't he in your class?" Qibli said, brushing his wings against Winter's.

"He is. He's now on his way to the Mud Kingdom to prepare for his trip." Said Turtle, "He told me to tell you guys that he hopes you all have a nice time."

"I hope he does too, I'm really going to miss him over the break." Qibli said, "Winter will as well, but he's too tough to show it." Qibli patted his head.
