It was late in the evening.
Clouds ruled the dark sky and rain was waiting by the door. Ophelia and her sister were lying comfortably on the sofa. A random movie playing in the background while the two talked about pointless things.
Their parents were at the meeting in school so the two teenage girls took the quiet house to their advantage. Ophelia still had an uneasy feeling in her stomach but chose to ignore it. It's not every day so peaceful in the Cappadona household.
Alessandre was at football practice and the girls had the whole night planned out. Ophelia tried to look as excited as her sister but she was just so exhausted. She wanted to curl in a ball and never come out.
She had a really bad day; Coach Gael was yelling at her, then her teacher, and then her mother. Coach yelled a lot lately and she didn't feel happy about it. She was just so tired of everyone. Why couldn't people just let her rest?
Her mother was super angry at her because she failed her chemistry exam and didn't tell her. Now she is dinner-grounded.
Mrs Cappadona has different types of punishment; dinner grounded, easy punishment, and life restrictions. Ophelia had experienced all the types. Her life restriction was staying out after 9.
It was getting late and Ophelia grew bored of her sisters rambling. Her parents were nowhere to be seen just like Alessandre. She felt alone in the world. So alone sitting next to her sister and pretending to be fine.

Ophelia doesn't remember falling asleep. She only remembers the sound of her alarm and the fear she felt when she saw the time.
