The world was spinning. No air was going in her system. She was drowning. Soon she'll have to take the last breath and let the water swallow her. The water was comforting. Well, it was comfortable drowning, the feeling of her head exposing wasn't comfortable.
It was time for her to take the last breath. She was ready. I mean, her life was ending. It was better than she ever imagined.
A loud noise could be in her ears. Was it death welcoming her in?She was opening her eyes. She wasn't drowning. She just passed out. Ophelia won the match but collapsed the second it was over.
Demien was now on top of her trying to wake her up. It worked. Her eyes were open."Are you ok? Does anything hurt?" Coach Gael asked from next to her."My head is going to explode. And my hand." Ophelia said in a whisper.
They took her to the medic stand and there she was fixed. She was mostly fine. Only a bruised arm and she hit her head when she fell, but nothing more serious.
She got her medal and the lot took off. Ophelia was exhausted from everything. It was already pretty late and dark outside.
She must have fallen asleep in the car because Coach was waking her up.
"Here we are. I'll take your bag, c'mon." He stopped shaking her.
Ophelia stood in the hallway after Coach left. It was so silent.
She went to check if anybody was home but there was no one. Only a note stuck to the fridge.
'To Ophelia, you have food for when you come home. We're out.'
She didn't really care. It's not like they would pay much attention to her. She washed herself, ate, and fell asleep after a rather exhausting day.

The next morning she didn't have practice but still woke up pretty early. A habit at that point. She was too lazy to visit Mr Liang so slow walking to school was her plan b.
School went by and nothing particularly interesting happened. Well until a lesson in which the teacher didn't show up. Most of her class decided to go buy some food at the local store or just go to the library, but not Ophelia and her friends. They were sitting on the floor in front of the classroom and chatting. It was mostly peaceful until someone showed up. "Oh look at that. It's you two." Axel said gesturing to Ophelia and Ivy. Miriam and Summer looked shocked at the boy's voice. After all, they didn't know what he sounded like. "It's you." Ivy said sounding annoyed out of her mind."Now you sit on the ground? I guess it is more comfortable than the bus, but you don't have our company." Demien followed along with Axel's poking at the girls. His tone surprised Ophelia. He was super nice to her just the day before, now he acted like he didn't even know her. "I like it better this way." Ophelia said hoping to get some kind of reaction from Demien. "I guess it is. Nobody is hitting my head with a water bottle." He said pointing towards her.
He didn't look hurt by her comment at all. Ophelia felt something break in her heart. She really thought Demien and her started to have some sort of connection, but she guessed wrong.
The boys looked like they wanted to talk more but the bell rang making them leave in a rush. Miriam and Summer started asking questions about the boys and commenting on the encounter. Ophelia couldn't care less about that. All she could think about was Demien and how he kind of broke her heart before she even liked him.
