Alike but so different

Part 6

I woke up with a banging headache. I turned over and closed my eyes again. I couldnt get back to sleep because of my headache so opened my eyes and finally sat up. I rubbed my eyes and looked around and realised jess asleep next to me.

I got up and looked down at myself and realised i was wearing a hoodie that werent mine and nothing but underwear underneath.
What the fuck.

I saw jess moving around and he finally woke up.

"morning"-jess
"why am i here"
"you slept here last night"-jess
"why"
"luke made you cause you was too drunk to go home"-jess

I took that all in and went and found my clothes. I walked into the bathroom and got changed, put my hair in a messy bun and washed my face with just some water.

I walked back out and jess was up and shirtless. I turned round and started to remember the kiss last night. With jess and zach. Then jess punching zach.

I had to leave. I walked out and heard jess shout my name but i ignored it and carried on going downstairs. I walked out the curtain and the diner was full of people.

I ignored them and kept walking. I walked out and got into my car driving home, loralie and rory werent here again. I got in and took some painkillers for my head before going upstairs and having a shower.

Once i got out i put my hair in a plait and changed into a white tracksuit. I got my bag with keys phone cigarettes and money in it and left the house.

I went to the bookshop and found a book ive been wanting to read, i sat at the back of the shop starting to read the first chapter.

While i was reading i noticed someone had came and stood right in front of me facing me. I looked up from the book and saw jess staring down at me.
"good book"-jess

I closed the book and got up. I went down to the counter and paid for it then left. I went and sat in the gazebo in the middle of town and started reading there.

After around 15 minutes i got thirsty and went over to dooses getting a soda. Whilst i was checking out jess came and stood with me. again.

I paid for my soda and walked of. I could hear jess walking behind me saying my name. Then i heard him jogging to catch up with me and next thing i know hes stood right in front of me.

"why are you avoiding me"-jess
"dont wanna talk to you"
"why"-jess
"last night. at the party."
"listen i was drunk im sorry for kissing you"-jess
"it wasnt just that you then went and punched zach"
"he was kissing you, you even said you didnt want him kissing you"-jess
"yes but i can handle myself"
"you still like him dont you"-jess
"no. Whats it got to do with you anyway"
"nothing."-jess

He then walked past me purposelly nudging into my shoulder as he did. What a prick. I went and sat in the gazebo reading again.

"so we got told you stayed at lukes last night?"-loralie
"yeah im sorry"
"no its fine your being a teenager"-loralie
"where did you sleep?"-rory
"jess's bed"
"where did he sleep"-rory
"on the floor"-i felt a bit bad lying but i didnt want everyone knowing we was cuddling all last night.
"oh okay"-rory

I nodded at them and looked back down at my book reading more. Loralie and rory sat on the bench i was sat on and started talking. I weren't listening though, ive learnt how to block people out while reading unless they say my name.

I closed my book and had some of my drink and then looked at loralie and rory. They have such a good mother daughter bond. Lucky.

"mhm"
"you coming lukes with us?"-loralie
"sure"

I put my book in my bag and finished my soda and then we started walking to lukes. We was talking about the people in this town like miss patty, taylor, kirk, bebette. Everyone.

Once we got in lukes i looked around and couldnt see jess. I dont even know why im looking for him. I sat at a table with loralie and rory. Luke then came over to ask what we wanted. I swear him and loralie have a thing.

"what can i get you"-luke
"coffee and a blueberry muffin"-rory
"same"
"coffee and any pie"-loralie
"okay. Lottie do you know whats up with jess, hes extra stroppy today"-luke
"no clue"
"alright"-luke said walking of. I looked at rory and loralie and notice they was both staring at me.
"mhm?"
"why would you know whats up with jess?"-rory
"i dont know"
"have you two got a thing going on?"-rory
"no. Have you?"
"what? no i have a boyfriend"-rory
"but you look at jess like your in love with him"
"so do you"-rory
"i dont but even if i did i dont have a boyfriend"
"no your boyfriends jess. By the way hes there"-rory

I turned round and noticed him stood behind the counter staring at us. I went over and sat on the stools.

"have you got a thing for rory?"
"why?"-jess
"just wondering"
"no, she's dating that prick. I have a thing for someone else"-jess
"who?"
"cant say. Keeping it on the low"-jess
"okay, well thats all i wanted"

I got up and just in time as luke just took my coffee and muffin over to the table.

"lottie wait"-jess
"what?"
"are you still mad at me"-jess

I shrugged and walked back over to my table sitting down and starting to pick my muffin into small peices and eating those having some coffee between every few bites.

Well jess likes someone. Not that its got anything to do with me i dont care but i cant get that kiss out my head. Hes a good kisser. And then him punching zach, it was nice he cared but he shouldnt of punched him.
