Alike but so different

part 9

I couldnt get to sleep. I had read 4 chapters of my book and was still wide awake. Everything with jess was running through my head.

He was great helping me when i was having a panic attack and then hanging out with me after. Maybe we was friends.

I looked at my clock and realised it was already gone 1am. Im not getting much sleep tonight thats for sure.

I carried on reading but then there was a knock on my door. I got up and went to it and opened it and jess was stood there.

"sorry did i wake you up?"-jess
"no i cant sleep"
"neither. Come for a walk?"-jess
"yeah let me grab a hoodie"
"wear mine. Ive got a hoodie under my jacket."-he says taking his jacket of before taking the hoodie of and handing it to me. He then puts the jacket back on.
"thank you"
"its fine. Come on"-jess

*i put the hoodie on and walked out my room. We walked down the hall and got in the lift. He pressed the 1st button before leaning against the wall next to me.*

"so what happened earlier?"-jess asked turning his face to look at me.
"when?"
"the panic attack."-he said sounding sympathetic.
"just got overwhelmed."-i said,walking out the lift as the doors opened.

He didn't say anything else as we walked out down to the lake and stood watching the ducks and fishes for a bit.

We then planned to walk across the bridge to the woods area. Im terrified of bridges but was sure id walk over it just fine. We stepped on it and walked across but as soon as we stepped on i clinged onto his arm not registering what i was doing.

I heard him chuckle quietly before wrapping his arm round my shoulders and i didnt make an effort to move away.

Once we got of the bridge he looked down at me,us still walking. He kept his arm draped lazily over my shoulders.

"scared of bridges eh?"-jess asked a bit of amusement in his voice.
"no." *i mumble clearly lying.

I heard his chuckle again and rolled my eyes. He was starting to grow on me and maybe im even starting to think of him as more of a friend.

We stayed walking around for about half an hour before he walked me back to my room. We got outside the room and i turned around to jess.

"well, goodnight jess."
"goodnight lottie."

He took a deep breath before holding my waist and pulling me towards him. I looked up at him and he leaned down. He hesitated for a moment as there was a small gap between us before he closed the gap connecting our lips.

I kissed him back as we began moving our lips together in sync. We pulled away and he smiled down at me causing a small smile to tug at my lips.

"now its a goodnight."-he said with a wide smile. I rolled my eyes before kissing his cheek and walking into my room.
