New Orleans, Louisiana
6 days after incidentThird quarter. First down. Four minutes. The game was going sideways for the New Orleans Saints and Ke'Ann was pissed. His backup quarterback, Roger, got sacked at least four times and threw two interceptions. There hasn't been this much disunity on the football field ever and Ke'Ann was not having it. What made everything far worse, Roger, refused to throw him the ball throughout the entire game. Not once. Ke'Ann was wide open a good 80% of the time too.
He was tired of running full speed, getting close to the end zone, and not receiving the ball to score them some points. He could've gotten at least seven open touchdowns if Roger just threw it to him. But that wasn't happening. Ke'Ann slowed his speed soon as the ball was thrown to his teammate, Jackson, and he was tackled seconds later. He threw his arms up in irritation, feeling himself about to lash out on someone.
"Damn! Why the dude not passing to you?" Indianapolis Colts player, Keem, questioned. Even someone on the opposing team noticed the Saints were messing up. It was embarrassing.
"Ion fucking know man," Ke'Ann responded with deep frustration. He walked away from his opponent and jogged to his teammates on the field. They gathered in a huddle, talking a little bit about the last play ran. No one seemed pissed like Ke'Ann, so he kept his comments to himself. Roger jogged back to his team after his small talk with the coach.
He got in the middle of the huddle then leaned down a little. "We're going to do a Hail Mary." Roger informed them. The worse mistake a football team could make.
It was a long forward throw with completion being very unlikely. They never completed this pass ever . Doing so now with just a few minutes left of the third quarter was stupid. Clearly, Ke'Ann was the only one who thought that. And since he was unable to make any choices, he had to go with it. They clapped their hands then parted from their huddle, lining up. The Colts players doing the same right in front of them.
Ke'Ann jogged to the left side of the field. As the wide receiver, he was supposed to be one of the ones catching the ball. But there was also Jackson who's been getting the ball constantly other than him. And Ke'Ann had a feeling that's who Roger was going to give it to once again. Ke'Ann wanted to just stop running altogether. But it was his job and he had to do it no matter what. If he still wanted to be rich then he had to do the job. Even if it was fucking with him.
He overheard the call coming from Roger and soon the ball was snapped. Ke'Ann took off, running at full speed. He held his arm out to keep his opponent off him. His attention stayed on Roger as he ran back and searched for a receiver. Ke'Ann being wide open and making his way to the end zone. A throw should've happened right now, yet it didn't. The clock went down and Roger was sacked to the ground, the football falling out of his hand. The Colts player picked up the ball and ran towards the opposite end zone. Only with his teammates.
