Michael's POV.
"Just so you got one less thing to worry about, i want you to know. I ain't mad at you." Sucre spoke up, as i glanced out of my cell. "Thank you." I glanced over, and gave him a small nod.
"How long untill--" Sucre started but i cut him off. "16 hours." I glanced at my watch, while i walked around my cell. "Are his lawyers making any process. Is there still a chance with that?" Sucre asked as i shook my head. "No."
"There's only one person that can stop this execution."
*~~*-The Infirmary-*~~*
Ashley's POV.
I was currently going to the infirmary. Just for a checkup to see if i'm okay. Luckily i got Sara. Michael told me what i needed to say to Linc just in case.
"I need to see my husband. Just to talk." I immediately asked the question as Sara came into the room. Sara looked over at me and i kept my gaze. "For five minutes. Please, Sara."
"Yeah. Yeah, i'll try." Sara nodded as i watched her walk out and go out to the guard that was guarding Lincoln. I let out a shaky sigh as i glanced over. Lincoln's eyes connecting with mine. I gave him a soft nod.
He glanced away as i sighed, fiddling with my hands as Sara came walking back in. "I'm sorry, Ash. I'm told that you have to wait untill final visitation." Sara informs me. I glanced from my hands towards her.
"Would you talk to your father for me. Please. If not me, do it for Michael." I asked as Sara looked over at me. Her face in slight shock of me asking this. "Believe me. my father knows where i stand on the death penalty--And i'm just as clear on his--"
"Sara..Dr. Tancredi, i'm sorry." I cut her off, and looked at her. My face full of pain, This isn't about the morality of the death penalty. This is about..about killing an innocent man." I shared a quick glance at Lincoln.
"My..My husband." I looked back at Sara. "Surely your father can't be in favor of that. Just talk to Lincoln's attorneys, just for an hour. I swear to god you'll be convinced of his innocence."
"Ashley." Sara walked over to me. "I would pick up that phone right now if i thought there was any chance that i could make a difference. But you and Michael need to understand. I'm the last person in the world that my father listens too." She put her hand on my arm, as i let out a shaky sigh.
"He hates what i do. He hates what i believe in. And if i'm the one asking for your husband's clemency. He won't get it." Sara looked at me, as i sighed. Nodding as i looked down. Not before glancing over at the window as a guard brought Lincoln past.
I quickly walked over to the window, and watches as he looked at me while walking away. I put my hand on the window as a tear ran down my cheek. "Lincoln.." I muttered to myself as he slightly frowned seeing the tears.
He turned away as the guard led him away.
"I'm sorry."
*~~*-Cell 40-*~~*
Me, Michael and Sucre were in our cell again.
We were just talking untill Bellick suddenly showed up at our cell. It opened and Bellick took off his head.
"Scofield, Burrows. Your brother's gonna be transported to final visitation soon." Bellick announced, "sadness" on his face. "You can meet him there."
