Addie's POV:
The bus slowed down and came to stop. The boys rushed to the door, me cautiously yet eagerly following. They opened it up and Louis, Liam and Zayn hopped out to go retrieve Ed. Harry and Niall stayed on either side of the door. I tried to go peek out, but Harry stopped me.
"No, go wait in the drivers area." He demanded, pointing. I sulked over and sat down on the couch, giving Harry a death glare. He just smirked at me and directed his eyes back outside. I heard a bunch of quick footsteps on gravel and Liam yelling for Ed to stop. Then Zayn added in that they still had me in the bus. All of a sudden, the footsteps stopped abruptly. I could hear faint voices and then an echoey bang, like hollow metal hitting something. Then another gravel sound, but heavier than footsteps. I began to worry.
After what felt like an hour, they finally came back into view, dragging Ed on the ground, panting. My eyes went wide.
"Gee thanks for helping, mates." Liam said to Harry and Niall. They didn't get a chance to reply before I spoke up.
"What the fuck did you do?" I yelled, finally standing up. I rushed past Harry and Niall and knelt down by Ed. I put a hand on his cheek, another on his chest. I felt tears pressuring behind my eyes, filling them with water.
"Ed?" I turned my head up to face Liam. "Is he- did you-" a tear fell down my cheek.
"He's alive, if that's what you're trying to ask." He reassured me. I let out a big sigh, resting my head on Ed's chest.
"Addie, babe. Get up." Harry said from behind me.
"Yeah, we've got to get him into the bus and get moving." Niall added.
I hesitated before standing up on weak legs. I walked back onto the bus after Zayn and Louis, who were carrying Ed towards the couch. They put him down, sitting upright, beside the couch and began to take the cushions off. I wondered what they were doing, until they reached in and grabbed a handle. They pulled outwards and a bed unfolded in front of them. They went into the cabinet across from the bed and pulled out a sheet, comforter, and pillows. They tossed them at me before they fell at my feet in a heap.
"Make the bed." Zayn ordered. I bent over and picked up a sheet from the floor, shaking it so it unfolded into a big rectangle. I spread it over the bed and went around each side, tucking it in. Then I tossed on the pillows and put the comforter in place.
"Done." I said to myself, taking a step back.
I looked over at Zayn and Louis, then at Ed, then back at them again.
"I don't think I'll be able to lift him up there by myself." I said, gesturing to Ed and then the bed. Zayn sighed.
"C'mon Lou, let's get him up then." They walked over and grabbed his arms and legs, hoisting him up onto the right side of the bed. He let out a groan.
"He's waking up, look." Louis said.
"What did you do to him anyways?" I asked, suspicion in my tone.
"They hit him with a pipe upside the head," Everyone's heads snapped to Niall as he bluntly said, walking in with a bottle of water and a sandwich. "And give this to him when he wakes." He handed it to me. I nodded, placing it in the mini fridge beside the cabinet with the sheets in it.
"I think that'll be soon. He's stirring." Zayn said. I looked at Ed, he was moving around, getting comfortable. Suddenly, the bus hit a huge bump. I'm not talking like a rock or pothole, I'm talking like a deer size.
All of us stumbled and I fell over, hitting my head on the wall behind me. Niall fell into the wall and Zayn grabbed onto a coat hanger before he could fall over. Louis just stumbled but never lost his footing. I got up and looked over at Ed. His eyes were wide open and darting everywhere.
