Addie's POV:
I awoke to the sound of quiet music along with a soft voice. It sounded a little familiar. I didn't want to open my eyes, though. I wanted to just enjoy this for a while. My mind wandered off to trying to decipher who the voice belongs to. What happened before I fell asleep? Me feet ached.

The car chase. So the voice was Ed? No, it's too hard to believe. I have to get a look.

"You have an amazing voice." I finally decided to speak up, opening my eyes. His head snapped towards me.

"Thank you." He said after recovering. I could hear the smile in his voice. "You scared me though."

"Sorry. That was payback for scaring me to death yesterday." I laughed along with him.

"Morning." I said suddenly.

"Morning," he laughed. I looked at the clock. It was about 10:00pm. "We're in Wales now, but I didn't want to wake you. So much for that." He smiled and looked down.

"It's okay. I don't want to be a burden." He nodded and started to get out of the car. I stopped him.

"I really love your voice, please sing for me sometimes?" I pleaded.

"You really do? I just get so nervous." He said.

"Don't be. You're great." I reply.

"Okay, fine. I'll think about singing again sometime," he gave in. "But you have to promise not to judge. If you're judging in your head, then try not to show it physically." He laughed.

"I won't judge, even in my head. You honestly have an amazing voice, Ed. Just please believe me that I'm telling you the truth."

"Okay, I believe you." He said.

"Thank you." I said back.

"But you have to sing for me." He spoke up after a few moments of just listening to the music on the radio.

"What? No! I can't sing! I've never even tried, I know I'll be bad." I looked out the window and frowned at a stray cat drinking from a puddle. I never liked cars, but I still felt bad.

"I won't unless you do. You don't have to right now, we have to go check into the hotel. But I will make you eventually, I promise." He laughed and I laughed with him. "I just can't believe you've never even tried to sing!" He sounded astonished.

"Well I've sang with my friend Jordan before, but I've never really tried. It's just joke singing and make our voices sound bad on purpose for fun, you know?" My heart ached when I thought of Jordan. He just nodded and smiled while opening his door and waking around to open mine.

"I bet you'll be great at singing." He said as I stepped out.

"Umm, Ed?" I said, looking down at my feet.

"Yes?" He asked.

"I still don't have shoes. I didn't know where they were in the house before I escaped and I never got a pair on. I only have socks." I was still looking down at my feet, ashamed.

"Babe, don't be embarrassed. It not your fault. We'll get you some shoes soon." He said grabbing my hand.

I started walking, but winced and stopped when I felt a strong ache in my feet. I sucked in a breath. Ed turned to look at me with a concerned expression.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine. The pain is starting to kick in from running an walking so much with bare feet. That's all. You know the expression 'that's going to hurt in the morning?'" It had been a few hours and my feet have been resting, so the pain has got worse and I'm not used to it anymore. I can take it though, so I just I shrugged it off.
