Addie's POV:
I woke up and Harry was gone. Again. This time I knew what to do. I had to get out of here. And soon. But I didn't know if Harry has an alarm or if there's even a way to get out without him seeing me.I have to let Harry get to trust me more, but I have to try and be cautious, too. I can't let my guard down too much.
I walked over towards the bedroom door, hoping it was unlocked. I grasped the doorknob, took a deep breath, and turned the knob. To my surprise, it opened.
I slowly peeked my head out, checking for any signs of Harry or the rest of the boys. When there was nobody in the hallway, I gently stepped out, careful not to make too much noise. I tiptoed down the hall, checking to make sure none of the doors were open and nobody was inside to see me.
Most of the doors in the long hallway were closed. But I saw one that was open about half way. I cautiously stepped closer, my whole body tensed as I got closer. I slowly tried to get a peek inside. I was hoping Harry wasn't in there to catch me snooping around.
I didn't see anybody in the room, so I walked closer and peeked my head in to get a better look. Harry was no where in sight. Neither was anyone else. I quietly let out a sigh of relief and turned around. I continued to tiptoe down the hall.
I noticed that this house was actually really big. It was like a mansion. How did they afford this?
I finally reached the end of the hall to find a flight of stairs. I looked around, checking my surroundings, before starting down the stairs.
When I reached the bottom of the long stairs, I saw I was in a small hallway with a doorway to the living room a few steps ahead, a doorway to what looked like a kitchen to my right, and a closet to my left.
I peeked into the living room and saw it was on the menu screen for the movie they must've watched last night. I looked on the couches to find Louis, Niall, Liam, and Zayn asleep in uncomfortable looking positions. Their legs and arms were sprawled out and their necks were bent at inhuman angles. They're going to be sore when they wake up. I hoped I wasn't there for that, and that I've escaped by then. I just need to go un noticed by Harry and I'm home free.
Where is Harry? Oh well. As long as he's not here, I don't care. I just need to get out of here. I exit the living room doorway and head towards the kitchen. I cautiously look inside, as I have for all the previous rooms, but find no Harry there.
Then I looked across the kitchen and there was another little hallway. I quickly padded across the tiled floor to the hall. I walked down it and saw that all the doors were closed and there was a door at the very end.
I ran down the hall, still taking as light steps as I could. I managed to reach the end of the hall without being caught. I quickly grabbed the doorknob and twisted, but it only turned a small amount of the way before making a clicking noise, meaning it was locked.
I reached up and took a bobby pin off of the bottom right side of my bra where the back strap starts. I always keep it there just in case I need to unlock something or have a hair emergency. I stuck the pin in the keyhole and started fiddling with it until I heard a satisfying click.
I got up off my knees and stepped through the door. It led to six steps and then yet another door. I walked down the steps and reached out and turned the knob. It was open! I pushed the door open and stepped out. I saw that I was outside, finally. I looked down and saw that my feet only had socks on. I would just have to deal with it. I couldn't turn back now.
I started running down a long driveway towards a paved road. I kept sprinting for about 5 minutes and then it turned into a normal speed run because I was getting tired. I mentally thanked myself for taking morning runs every day and making myself get into better shape.
