**Time Skip: 4 Months**

Y/n's POV
   "Dammit!" I huff in irritation, blocking Zoro's attack. "Well.. Come on sweetheart, we don't have all day now" Zoro said with a smirk on his face. "Don't call me sweetheart!" I scolded, hiding a blush. I get back into my stance with determination flowing through me. I charge towards Zoro, he quickly hits me in the stomach with his Tsuka (handle), I fly backwards and my back slams into part of the ship.

   I groan in pain. "Another win for me" Zoro said with a smirk. "Dammit." I sigh. "You're getting faster though, you actually almost hit me" He mumbled. "Wait really?" I look at him excitedly. "Yeah. Training is doing you good" He said walking off. I grin widely 'I'm going the right direction!' I thought.

   Suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn to see Nami. "Oh hey Nami" I smiled. She whispered in my ear "How was your daily flirting sesh with the swordsman?" She smirked at me, raising her eyebrows up and down. "Oh shut up Nami." I said hiding my face so she doesn't see how embarrassingly red I am. These past few months have been good. Me and Zoro have grown decently close, Zoro had opened up to me and told be about his past. I also told him about my past.

Little Flashback. (Sorry I'm assuming you know Zoro's past)
   "Alright. Enough about me, what about you? I know you're pretty quiet about your past and never bring it up." Zoro says. "Oh uh.. well.." I take a deep breath and fiddle with my fingers. Zoro looks at me with patience, he could probably tell how much of a touchy subject it was for me.

   "As a kid, my parents didn't care about me. They wouldn't feed me a lot, only enough to keep me alive. They would hit me when they were bored and blame me if we were struggling. Yell at me, throw bottles at me, you name it. I had to learn how to take care of myself. One day it just got too much, and I ran away. I ran as fast as my little legs could carry me. I ended up getting lost in some forest and it was then that I found my devil fruit. I rationed it out so it would last me a few days. After I had eaten it all, I accidentally turned myself into a mouse. I got so scared but I figured it out. I wandered into a town. I never knew there were other towns since my parents kept me isolated from other humans. I walked around for a long time. The villagers would watch me, but never asked if I was okay or if I needed help. I traveled up a hill and found myself at an old house. Some old geezer came out and started yelling at me to get away from his garden, even though I was no where near it. Yelling scared me badly so I cowered down and covered my ears. I started bawling my eyes out. Once he noticed my crying he had stopped yelling and scooping me up. Held me in his arms. Since that day he took care of me. I never told him what was wrong with me or mentioned my past but he seemed to have an idea. He taught me the basics of how to use a weapon and control my DF powers. One day.. he.. never came home.. just vanished.. I waited for him for about 2 weeks. No sign. I went into town asking where he was.. but no one listened or acknowledged me. It was like I was invisible. I trained myself for those years and kept myself alive. The rest is history" My eyes were watery. Thinking about papa was hard. Then I felt arms around me, there Zoro held me in his arms for awhile. I was holding a lot of details back from him, I wasn't ready to face it yet. Me and Zoro stayed that way for awhile.

   It still hurts thinking about my past. These few months with the Strawhats were amazing. My feelings for Zoro only grew, but I don't even think he feels the same. Nami always tells me to shoot my shot but I love the way me and Zoro are now. For now I'll keep it that way. Nami says something to me but I don't hear it and she walks away. "I'm showering!" I shout. Everyone nods or grunts in agreement.
