Chapter 11

A/N:  Hey guys so I'm gonna skip ahead a little bit for this. I don't strictly want to follow the entire One Piece story part by part. Although it has to do with the characters I want to make sure I'm fully making it enjoyable for myself and others by not making it where it's like rewatching the anime with a few new bits. Onto the story!

Y/n POV
   I continuously bounce my leg up and down at a rapid pace, thoughts whirling in my head. I felt a hand on my back, slowly rubbing circles for comfort. My crew had lost the last game and these Pirates took Robin.  I watched Luffy on the ground. He was exhausted and he needed to finish this fight. I watched him, zoning out any other noise. The fight continued and Luffy had won. I held my breath. 'Just say the words just say the words..' I chanted in my head. "Now that the game is over, Captain Luffy needs to figure out which 500 crew mates he wants to join into the Straw Hat Crew!" The announcer said. "Oh, I want Y/n and Robin." Luffy said with a blank stare. I stood up, taking small steps at first, I speed up and begin running through the crowd. As a push through I finally see my crew in my line of sight, I slid past the last few people and quickly run to Zoro. Jumping and wrapping my arms around his neck.

   He wraps his arms around my waist and places his head in my neck. He spun us very slowly in a small circle. His grip was tight, not wanting to let go of me. "God I was gonna go crazy.. you were gone for too long Angel.." he whispered. 'Angel..? That's a new one..' I blushed at the new nickname. Zoro then pushed me up, wrapping my legs around his waist. I cupped his cheek with one of my hands, softly swiping my thumb across his cheek bone. I leaned in slowly and kissed him. As I pulled away he bit my lip, not hard but just enough to make it a different shade than its original color. I blushed at the action, unsure of how to react or what to do.

   "I'm gonna let you go now.. okay?" He said in a low voice. I nodded at him and he slowly let my legs down, he let me go at my own pace to make sure I didn't fall. As soon as I'm down on the ground he quickly takes my hand into his, intertwining our fingers together. He rubs the top of my hand with his thumb without stopping. I focused on the thought of his hands. They were rough from working out and fighting constantly, all the lifting and overall dirty work he does obviously caused the faint calluses on his hands. Even if they were rough I couldn't help but notice how soft and gentle his touch is.

As I zone back into reality Luffy had announced that all the crew he took was dismissed. They all were confused at first but quickly ran to their old boss. I smiled at how much they loved their boss, they may have been pissing me off but when they finally started leaving was when I noticed how loyal they are to each other. Just like our crew. I squeezed Zoro's hand twice. He looks down at me curiously with a small smile. "What's wrong Angel?" He whispered.

   I shook my head "Squeeze two times and that's the our signal of I love you. Papa always used to tell me that when we went in public, he always had to hold my hand or else the locals would push me around. Every time we left the house and on the way back he'd squeeze my hand two times." I turn to Zoro and smile, his smile grows bigger and then there was two squeezes. "I love you Y/n.." Zoro said. He has such softness in his eyes, I searched them for any sign of doubt but I found nothing.

   "Great! Now let's go find Merry a shipwright!" Luffy said excitedly, he was grinning widely while holding the top of his hat. He starts walking down to our ship and we all collectively follow, waving our goodbyes. Me and Zoro walked a bit slower than the others, just enjoying each other's presence. I watched the sea in the distance and admired the sun. I didn't realize it at first but Zoro had been watching me. I didn't say anything of it, then we finally reached the ship.

"Hey Y/n? Can I talk to you?" Nami asked. I turned to her and smiled "Sure!" I released my hand from Zoro's and he walked over to the railing, he leaned against it patiently waiting for me. "What's up Nami?" I ask. I wasn't sure what to expect or where this conversation was headed. "I just wanted to ask.. did you gain more abilities?" He questioned. I went silent for a moment "oh.. uh yeah.. I did." I paused for a moment. "I guess I'm able to heal without any physical contact anymore.." I admitted. Her eyes widened. "Y/n! That's amazing!" She said in awe.

I chuckled nervously at Nami, scratching the back of my neck. "It truly is incredible." A voice suddenly comes from behind me, causing me to jump. "Ah.. Robin you scared me.." I chuckle. "Ah my apologies. Y/n you do understand what this means correct?" He raises her eyebrows. I look at her with confusion, I then softly shake my head. "Well, it means that you are more than likely able to grow stronger. Your power is already incredibly, but now there are likely more abilities waiting to unravel." She closed her eyes and crossed her arms, thinking about something.

"I.. didn't realize I could grow any stronger.." I muttered, looking at the planks below my feet. "Don't stress about it, it will take time but you're completely capable." Robin says with a soft smile. Nami looks at me happily and nods her head quickly. "Thank you guys, I think I'm gonna go see Chopper. Now that I can heal more efficiently I think I can help him out more." I smile. I turn and begin walking back over to Zoro. "Hey, I might be a bit so go shower or take a nap. I'll be back as soon as possible, I'm just gonna go see Chopper." I say. Zoro looks at me and leans down. He kisses my forehead and smiles at me "okay.. don't take too long, if you do I'll kidnap you away from Chopper.." he said and smirks.

He stands straight again and begins walking down to the rooms. Quickly I sprint to Choppers room. "Chopperrrr!" I whisper shout. The little reindeer pops his head out by one of the desks and his face lights up. "Y/n!" He runs over to me and hugs my leg. I laugh a bit and crouch down. "Hey little man" I smile softly. "So.. I wanted to know if you wanted any help at all around here. I've recently discovered that I can heal without physical contact so I figured I could come down here and see if I can be of any help" I smile. Choppers eyes light up. "You can be like my nurse!" He said excitedly, he accepted my help. Knowing I can put my ability to use lifted a weight off my chest.

As of today Chopper didn't need any help at all. He was just taking notes on what needed to be restocked and how much of it. I figured I'd go shopping with him at the next dock. I head down to my room and slowly open the door. Zoro was laying on my bed passed out. His hair still looked a bit wet so I he had just showered. 'I should probably shower too..' I thought. Quickly I grab a change of clothes and shower. Once I'm out I walk back into my room. I bend down and slowly kiss Zoro's forehead. His eyes shot open and he quickly grabbed me, pulling me into the bed. He had startled me and it earned a small squeak out of me.

Zoro laughed at the noise as he wrapped his arms around me. "Someone's clingy~" I teased. "It's not my fault you were taken away from me by pirates. It felt like an eternity." He grumbled. I laughed at his sudden mood shift. I shift my body so I face him. I trace his scar softly with my index finger and I notice he raised his eyebrow slightly. "What are you doing hm?" He says softly. "Nothing at all" I chuckle. He props himself up with his arm. He leans down and kisses me. It caught me by surprise for a moment but I quickly melt into his kiss. He breaks it and smiles at me. He leans down and leaves a trail of kisses along my collar bone. "You missed me this much~?" I tease.

   He lifts his head and nods before kissing me again. It was only a quick kiss, I had wanted it to be much longer. He shifts his body more towards me and rests his head on my chest. I gently rub down his spine. Unexpectedly I felt him shiver under my touch. I smiled at his shiver. He sighed in contentment. I was happy he felt safe enough to want to lay on my chest. The first time I was worried her would crush me but now he just does it. I let a small hum escape my lips. Soon enough Zoro was letting even and soft breaths out, indicating he was officially asleep. I finally close my eyes and shut them. Before I fell asleep I could have sworn I heard someone speaking outside of the boat. All I knew what that we were docked near some rocks so we could all rest. I shrugged it off and finally allowed myself to sleep.
