I couldn't dwell or think on the vision further as we headed towards what could be a warzone already.

It was pure luck we had reached it before the battle ensued. The battle would ensue just before dawn and we arrived just hours before, when we reached the camp, it was busy and everyone was preparing themselves. "Hey! Your Highness!" I shouted fiercely at my dad who stood by the large bonfire in the center of the camp with Caspian, both of them discussing something seriously and not fighting for once. "Forget someone?" I demanded as we approached him and when my father turned at my call, he was completely shocked to see me and Darren approaching. The guy we'd arrived with immediately went his separate way out of fear of my father. "What the hell are you doing here?" he demanded as he came storming over, for once instead of wearing a suit he wore his own armor. "Did you really think I wouldn't find a way out?" I challenged him not showing him any fear as I stood my ground though I felt I was far less intimidating due to being at least eight inches shorter than he was. "If you had any damned sense, you'd have kept her from coming!" He snapped harshly at Darren who responded immediately with, "All due respect your highness, which I have very little of for you... The fact that you think that she could be stopped from what she is determined to do so easily shows how little you know her" he said.

My father and Darren exchanged a look but he didn't argue further as he spoke again with a sigh, "Your here now and there's no time, both of you with me" He ordered as he spun around and motioned for Caspian to join us. We went to a tent with a large map laid out on a table where some leaders stood around it, they must have been discussing the battle plan. A few leaders within our army ranks looked up and bowed to us both as we entered the room. My father took the lead but I stood to his right and Caspian to his left, Darren followed silently behind us. "Run us through the plan one last time" My father commanded as Caspian went to join our military leaders where they ran through the entire plan. The rebel base was large and circular, well established and also well protected but the plan was to break the army we had into equal groupings, we would position ourselves around it and attack from all angles at once, since we remained undetected hopefully the element of surprise would be on our side. If we could get in to kill their leader and destroy their central base, we could easily squash the rest of the rebellion however if we lost, we would be significantly improving their odds of success, it was a risk but if we did nothing, they could grow strong enough to win anyways. It was well thought out but an extreme risk because without the Queen's army we didn't have the man power for an attack like this, we could easily take the win or lose. If we lost the rebellion would be a larger threat than it already was. This whole plan was a risk. A hail mary at best.

We hadn't caught onto the rebellion soon enough to stop it so now we were late to the game and not prepared enough, this was a desperate attempt to prevent war in the dark territories. A war that if we lost the rebels would take the throne and reignite the war between the two territories, reignite the war my sister died after ending. This was it. Our hail mary, our all or nothing, win or lose one way or another for better or for worse this battle would decide the fate of everything. I would be with my father and Darren in the group taking the fort head on, our mission was to find the leader and end him, Caspian unfortunately was needed to lead a separate group so he would not be with us. We were ready as we could be, the tension was so thick and heavy around us as we waited for the signal to rush head on into what was bound to be one hell of a fight. I pushed my fear aside as I readied myself alongside Darren and my father who both seemed readier than I was, we all got into position and then we waited. What only took a short time felt like ages of heavy silence that was filled with a crackling intensity. Then we heard it, a loud whistling sound that was high pitched and downright terrifying from all of the other groups in unison, the time had come. This was it.

We rushed forward into battle and nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to witness, nothing could brace you for the impact, the sounds of metal clashing and soldiers shouting. It was pure chaos and we were thrust right in the middle of it, like a brutal and bloody dance of violence that could only end in one way. I deflected blows and sliced through wings swiftly without pause, no hesitation, this was kill or be killed and I would not be the one killed. We had each other's backs, the three of us fighting our way easily through the slaughter that was occurring not missing a beat as we made our way towards the old abandoned building at the center of the camp, where their leader was meant to be. Only somewhere along the way my father and I, we got separated from Darren but I couldn't look for him right now, we had to keep moving forward and I had to trust Darren could handle himself. We reached the outside of the building where their leader should be but then out of nowhere came the swing of a soldier's blade as he managed to sneak up on us. I tried to deflect it but literally the moment before I drove my sword through his wings, his hit had landed its target. It wasn't me who was hit. It wasn't me...
