Chapter 17: The Greatest Movie Series of All Time

Twenty minutes after making up, Katherine emerges from the shower to find that Stefan had laid clothes out on the bed for her. It was a loose red sundress and sandals to match. She gets dressed and walks downstairs to find Stefan waiting with a picnic basket.

"Ready to go?" Stefan asks, offering her his hand. She nods and takes his arm excitedly, allowing him to lead her out to the car.

They reach a clearing, and he sets down a blanket and places the basket on top of it.

"Wow, this view is beautiful," Katherine says, admiring the waterfall in front of them.

"Yeah, it is," Stefan agrees, his eyes never leaving her face.

She notices him staring and blushes. He tucks a lock of hair behind her ear and cups her face before kissing her forehead. He opens up the picnic basket and hands her a sandwich. She starts eating while he takes out two champagne glasses and a bottle.

"Stefan... I'm pregnant, remember?" Katherine says pointing to her stomach.

"Which is why this is non-alcoholic," Stefan laughs.

"Oh, right, of course," Katherine says nervously.

He stretches out his legs before pouring the liquid into glasses.

He hands her a glass, and she starts to sip it.

"Do you want anything else? I cut some fruit up into pieces and I brought some yoghurt, some chocolate and some sour candy," Stefan offers her head.

"I can think of something I want," Katherine bites her lip before straddling him.

"Matt and Jeremy are playing video games, Caroline helping her mother out and Elena isn't returning my calls, so I was just going to make some popcorn and watch a movie. What about you?" Bonnie questions.

"Uhh nothing... I thought this whole Stefan Katherine thing would take longer, my brother is usually more stubborn, but I guess he's always had a soft spot for Katherine," Damon shrugs.

"Well," Bonnie bites her bottom lip, "What if I brought the movie over here and we watched it together?"

He smiles at her. "I'd like that... I'll go grab us some snacks and we'll meet back her in an hour?"

"Perfect," Bonnie grins at him.

An hour later, Bonnie arrives at the Salvatore Boarding House with a couple of movies. She walks in and sees Damon sitting in front of the TV. Her eyes widen when she sees the table. It's filled with different containers full of sweets, various boxes of chocolates and a bucket of popcorn.

"What's all this?" Bonnie asks nervously, "Are more people joining us or something?"

He scratches the back of his neck awkwardly. "No, I just wasn't sure what candy you liked so I may have gotten all of them," Damon admits sheepishly. Bonnie laughs as she sees a blush creep onto his cheeks.

"So, I brought Harry Potter, Twilight, Die Hard," Bonnie starts rambling before he stops her.

"What's Harry Potter?" Damon asks and her jaw drops.

"Have you been living under a rock?" It's only the greatest movie series of all time!" Bonnie exclaims.

"Okay jeez," Damon laughs, "I guess we're watching Harry Potter."

She jumps excitedly and puts the first disc in. They start watching the movie on opposite ends of the couch, but when Stefan and Katherine return home, they find Bonnie's head on Damon's chest and Damon's arm around Bonnie's shoulder. Katherine smirks at the scene before her while Stefan grabs a blanket from upstairs and drapes it over their bodies.

Then he picks up Katherine and places her on their bed.

"I'm going to run you a bath so you can relax," Stefan says before disappearing into the bathroom. A few minutes later, he comes back into their bedroom.

"All done. You can call me if you need anything," Stefan smiles at her.

"You're not coming in with me?" Katherine asks disappointed. He shakes his head.

"I'm going to check on Caroline and then meet with Nadia to see if she's found out anything. I should be back in an hour," Stefan tells her before kissing her forehead.
