Chapter 10

*Friday Museum opening*

Peter's POV

Everybody is getting ready in their rooms and I am in my room. I have been watching video  for the past 30 minutes on how to tie a tie eventually I gave up and started to head to head to the living room where everyone should be and I came out of the elevator still looking down at this abomination of a tie.

"Dad! Can you help to tie my tie! I have been trying for 30 minutes!" I shouted frustratedly which made everyone laugh and I looked up to see mum tying dad's tie and he was also not happy, I could see him grumbling stuff.

"Good I'm not the only one! It is some sort of wizardry!" Dad said

"I don't see anyone else having problems with their ties." Mum says amusingly while I'm still trying to tie my one.

"Screw it! I'm throwing it out of the window!" I said, admitting defeat while walking over to the window until Wanda came over and stopped me.

"No you're not, give it here." Wanda says while laughing at me, I gave the tie to her.

"You're not going to do it, it's impossible!" I said to her and she did it just a few seconds after mum finished dad's tie and dad and I looked astonished.

"Now you look more handsome" she says as she ties my tie and she doesn't let go of it, she holds on to it for a little longer.

"I- I don't look as good, I mean beautiful as you tho" I said which made her blush as bright as her dress

"Thanks Peter" then she turns to dad and says "For some geniuses, you both are not very intelligent" Wanda says which made dad and I blush in embarrassment.

"Ok we need to get going or we are going to be late!" Mum said and we all somehow managed to fit in the elevator with dad and I still grumbling about the wizardry. We got a few floors down to Happy and Happy seen us get off and walk over to us and spoke up.

"Got bad News Tony and Pepper, the singer who was meant to preform just got food poisoning and had to cancel, we could play calm music for a while like maybe a hour but then we would need to get someone on stage." Happy says and he looks stressed

"SHIT! Shit! We don't know anyone who could sing, or do we?" Dad says

"Yeah we do!" Mum says then turns to me. Shit! I thought to myself.

"You can sing Peter? Sam says with a smirk looking to tease him for it.

"No, no I don't." I said trying to lie my way out but everyone knows I'm not a good liar

"Oh my gosh! I completely forgot you could sing! I heard you sing many times in my lab." Dad says which makes me get more embarrassed because I got more attention on me than I would like.

"Pete I know you don't like crowds especially not singing in front of crowds but we desperately need a singer and I don't think we would get one, we wouldn't normally ask you to sing but there isn't someone else. You don't have to sing straight away just until a hour in so you only have to sing for 30 minutes and then have a small break for the official announcement and then 1 hour and that's it. You don't have to worry about them not liking you because they will love you, you have a brilliant voice, you can do your own songs and you can do cover songs if you want it your choice." Mum said trying to convince me to sing, this is the only choice they have.

"Fine I will do it." I said nervously a tiny bit which they could tell.

"They will love you, you can use your instruments if you want or you could just sing, you don't have to start until an hour in but we need to open this up, so I would like you to meet some people for the mean time until you go up on stage, you're just my intern remember." Dad says to me and I nodded to him, I looked back at everyone and they gave me reassuring smiles and I went off with dad.
