As Lewis and Rosa stepped into the room, Lewis refused to let go of her, so she walked with him into the living room.

"Lewis, can you let go so I can call Kelly and let her know I'm okay?" Rosa asked.

"No," Lewis replied, settling down and pulling her onto his lap. "You're stuck with me for the rest of the weekend. I can't go a minute without thinking of you, and if I can't see you, I'll go crazy," he confessed, burying his face in her neck.

"Okay, but we need to talk about what we are—" Rosa started.

"Mmm, okay. I love you. I want to marry you and have a family with you. I need a second chance because I've always loved you. Seeing you so close to Carlos killed me. I'm sorry I hurt you, and I'll do anything to be with you again," Lewis poured out.

"Stop racing," Rosa said calmly and seriously.

"Okay, I'll stop racing after this year—" Lewis began.

"I'm playing. Don't do that. I know you love racing too much. I'd hate myself if you gave up something that means so much to you," Rosa clarified.

"You mean more to me. If you tell me to stop, I will because I need you in my life. I need your touch, your smile, your laugh—everything. I just need you," Lewis confessed.

"Lewis..." Rosa touched his face, drawing closer, and kissed him, lingering in the moment.

"No, we can't... Checo," Lewis hesitated.

"He will understand. He's my uncle, not my dad. I would love to have you with me every day," Rosa reassured him, leaning in for another kiss. Lewis eventually surrendered, his hands finding her waist.
