Chapter 5- Iwa is the best

Y/N's POV-

It's been a whole week since Oikawa found out about me and Rin. Over the weekend he did text me and talked about things. He also apologized for his behavior. I explained to him about our relationship and what happened.

After that Oikawa stopped ignoring me and we were able to get things back on track. We were able to recruit a bunch of new and talented first years to the team. And the second and third years are getting better everyday!

I was sitting in my class working on some of my homework before lunch ended. I then got a text from Iwaizumi-San.

I quickly pulled out my phone and texted him back.

I wanted to jump up in down but since I was in class I didn't. I was still super happy though. There was a chance I would get to see Rin! 'I really owe Iwaizumi.. maybe I'll buy him something' I thought to myself as I put my phone away.

The bell had rang and class started again. The rest of the day went by pretty fast and it was now time for practice. We had a practice game with Karsouno high. I didn't know much about the team but from what the other second years told me, they said that Karsouno used to be a power house school but fell off.

I was walking down the hall with Yahaba and Kindaichi. We were all talking about Karsouno.

"I wonder if the Kind of the Court has shaped his new subjects into shape yet" Kindaichi said with a bitter tone of voice.

"Who's the Kind of the Court?" I asked. Yahaba turned towards me and said, "he's Kindaichi's old setter from middle school and from what he's told me. This King of the Court is an asshole"

I mummed in response and when I looked forward there was some of Karsouno's members. There was an angry guy and a guy with orange hair hiding n behind a wall.

The angry guy and Kindaichi were making eye contact with a cold stare. There was awkward silence and tension.

I whispered to Yahaba, "let's go it's clear these two have beef"

Yahaba blushed a bit and nodded his head. We left the two alone and made our way back to the gym.

"You excited to play as the main setter today?" I asked Yahaba. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know. I know Oikawa is the actual setter and I'll never be as good as him- ow!"

I slapped the back of his head and said, "if you keep talking like that you won't get better! If you wanna be better than you have to work harder and stop comparing yourself to others"

Yahaba nodded his head and he smiled a bit. "Now let's go beat these Karsouno crows asses!" I said as we walked into the gym.

Some of the guys on the other team looked over at us when I said that. A bald guy started to blush a bit and some of the other players on the team as well.

After a few minutes the practice game started. And wow was Karsouno different from what I was told. They were pretty good especially the short orange hair guy. Wow that kid can jump it's really impressive.

It was the end towards the second set and Oikawa finally showed up. He walked up to the bench me and the coach's were siting on.

"Took you long enough" I said to Oikawa

"Haha very funny Y/N-Chan" Oikawa said with slightly annoyed tone. The coach shook his head and told Oikawa to go warm up. All of Oikawa's fangirls started to cheer for Oikawa.

"One of these days I need to get ear plugs" I mumbled to myself.

"We all need to but they're still supporting the team so we can't be complaining that much" the coach explained. I sighed and nodded my head.

Oikawa hopped into the game he was able to get a few more points but Karsouno took the set and won the practice match. They did a really good job and I wasn't expecting this from Karsouno.

Karsouno then left the gym and we all quickly picked up and took down the net. I walked out of the Gym with Iwaizumi and Oikawa.

"You know Tobio-Chan has grown a lot since middle school" Oikawa mentioned.

"Yeah.. and that serve of his is getting good as well" Iwaizumi said nodding his head a bit.

"Is Tobio Karsouno's setter?" I asked

"Yeah, we went to middle school with him and he was really different. Glad to see him change and grow" Iwaizumi continued

"Hmm that's good"

I waved goodbye to the two boys and walked down my street to my house and they continued on their walk home. I pulled out my phone and started to text Rin.
