Y/N's POV-

When you lose it's the worst. After months of training and practicing, we ended up losing to Shiratorizawa in the finals for Nationals. It was a good game, but a horrible loss. After the game all the third years were going to stay on the team and the coach said that we will be working twice as hard.

So after we got back to school after the game, the coach had everyone do some light drills. I was going over with each player that played during the game to tell them how to improve and what to work on.

"Oikawa-San!" I called out to Oikawa. He was doing some setting practice by himself. He turned towards me with a slight annoyed look.

"Yes, Y/N-Chan?"

I walked over to where he was, clip board in hand. "We need to go over some stuff from the last game"

Oikawa rolled his eyes slightly and turned his attention back towards to the ball. "Give me the notes after practice and I'll go over them myself"

I sighed and nodded my head, "just don't over work yourself, ok?"

Oikawa tensed up a bit but, shrugged it off and went back to his normal practice. After about 20 minutes the coach's ended practice early. Oikawa and Iwaizumi decided to stay a bit later for some extra practice so we didn't have to clean up that much.

I waved goodbye to the two of them and started my walk home. After about a 10 minute walk I made it home. I got onto my computer to start my homework. I was about to start when I saw Rin messaged me on discord.

I opened up the sight and joined the call he invited me too. "Rin? You there?"

"Hm? Oh yeah, thanks for joining the call" he said with his usual tone of voice.

"Yeah of course, anyways did your team make it to nationals?" I asked as I started my homework.

"Yeah... do you think you can come and watch me play?" He asked with a hopeful tone of voice. I felt really bad, since I knew I couldn't make it.

"I'm sorry Rin, I can't. I have a lot of school that week, and my parents won't allow me to attend this year because of personal reasons. I promise I'll make it up to you soon! I can send you any gift that you want, for making it or for winning!"

"Can that gift be you coming to visit? Or me being able to visit you?" He asked in both a teasing and serious tone. I sighed from disappointment.

"No, sorry Rin. But if there's any other way I can make it up to you, let me know. Ok?"

Rin sighed through the call and I heard some shuffling in the background. "Ok, I will. I'll text you later. How's your team been since the loss?"

"The third years haven't been taking it well. Especially Oikawa and Iwaizumi-San, though it makes sense though. Those two have some kind of beef with Ushiwaka"

"Ooh beef? Spill the tea, babes" Rin asked with an excited tone of voice. I giggled a bit from his reaction. I put my pencil down and stopped doing my homework to explain everything I knew.

"I don't know a lot but, it all started back in middle school. When Oikawa and Iwaizumi were both first years"

"Oh so this has been going on for a long time then?"

"Yeah, so basically Oikawa didn't like Ushiwaka after he wiped the floor with him during a game. So ever since then after Oikawa tried over and over again to beat Ushiwaka he continued to fail.
Since Iwaizumi has been friends with Oikawa since they were kids, naturally he started to resent Ushiwaka as well. That's basically it, not much but still interesting"
