Sitting in Emilie's car, I let go of the breath I didn't know I'd been holding since I walked away from Jack. Oh my god, we almost kissed. My eyes shoot down to my lap, looking at the book bouquet that Jack had so kindly put together for me. It's almost like my brain can't process what happened in the last ten minutes, from when I met Jack inside the arena after the game to nearly kissing next to his car.

"Char, what's up? You look like you've seen a ghost." Em is looking over from the driver's seat with worry plastered on her face. I snap out of my dazed state and look up at Em. "Umm... Well, Jack and I almost kissed after I cried in front of him like a baby for him putting this together for me." I lift up the present, showing it to Em. Having been my best friend for so long, Emilie knows that I've never been given something like this by any of the guys I'd previously dated. Hell, Jack and I aren't even dating and he went out of his way to do this for me as a simple thank you.

"It's beautiful," putting the bouquet back on my lap, I take a closer look at the books making up the bouquet. "That's so sweet of him Char, but oh my god I can't believe you guys almost kissed. He clearly likes you." Shaking my head, I refuse to believe that there's a possibility that Jack likes me. We'd probably just gotten caught up in the moment, but that thought makes me feel slightly upset.

The whole ride home was quiet with music playing lightly in the background. We were both pretty tired from our eyes being glued to the game the entire time and screaming at any penalty thrown out to any of the guys. Turning my head away from the passing street lights and buildings, I look down catching a glimpse of the bouquet.

Once we made it home I carefully carried the book bouquet to my room, placing it on my bed and looking at it again. Every little detail was so delicately placed and it was beyond perfect. A  light knock on my door breaks my train of thought. Turning my head towards my door, I see Emilie walking to stand next to me. "Have you texted Jack at all?" Shaking my head no, "I haven't yet. Emilie, do you really think he might like me?"  She looks at me like I'm crazy, not believing how I might think otherwise on whether or not Jack likes me.

"Oh my god Char you're beyond blind. Of course, he likes you, he'd be crazy not to. If you saw the way he looks at you, you'd understand what I mean."  She shakes me, trying to get me to shake off any thoughts or chances that he doesn't like me. "If I were you I'd just text him and see where it all goes. Not just anyone would take the time to put something like that." She picks up my phone off the bed handing it over to me.

"I love you Charlotte and I know Jack feels something for you. Don't ask me how I know, but I just do. Goodnight Char. Tell me what happens in the morning. " With one last wave, Em is leaving my room and heading to her own for bed.
