Charlotte: Hey everybody, welcome back to another video. If you're new here, hi! I'm Charlotte or Char for short. Welcome to my little corner of the internet! If you couldn't tell from the title, my boyfriend Jack will pick the books I read!

Jack is smiling and looking over at Charlotte the whole time she's doing her intro and once he's mentioned he waves at the camera, shooting the camera his best smile. Charlotte looks back at him and smiles.

Charlotte: We are sitting in Jack's car outside Barnes & Noble. When we go inside, he's going to walk around and pick any books that he wants or thinks I would like. We've decided to limit his choice to five, so we're gonna head inside and we'll talk to you guys once we're done.

The video cuts to Charlotte filming Jack while he walks around looking and picking up different books. During his walk, he points out different covers he likes to Charlotte and shows the camera. Not long after, Jack is now holding the camera filming Charlotte holding her little stack of books as she walks to the register. Walking out, Jack turns the camera to face them both, smiling and shooting a thumbs-up to the camera. The video then cuts back to Charlotte and Jack in his car.

Charlotte: Alright so now we're back in the car and the goods have been secured.

They laugh right as Charlotte takes the stack of books out of her bag, passing it to Jack so he can show the books and explain why he chose them.

Jack: Okay so the first book I chose is Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross. I picked this one because I thought the cover looked nice and the synopsis was really interesting to me. I know Lotte has been trying to get into fantasy and she loves anything that involves enemies to lovers.

Charlotte: Aww look at you picking up on tropes. You know me so well babe.

Charlotte leans in and kisses Jack on the cheek and not long after his cheeks hold a dusty shade of pink.

Jack: Next I picked If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin. There was a table set up with a lot of these books on there and a few people picked them up as we were passing by. It also just seems like it might be an interesting story to read.

Jack: The third book I picked is Icebreaker by Hannah Grace. Now I'm not gonna lie, but I chose this one simply because it mentions a hockey player and the cover is nice.

With the book in his hands in front of the camera, Charlotte and Jack turn to look at each other. Charlotte slightly laughs at the reasoning for picking this book, but thanks him for his honesty.

Jack: Well the last two books I picked are The Last Word by Taylor Adams and If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio. I chose these two to be a little different from the rest of the books. They both sounded really interesting to me and I thought why not have Lotte give it a try?

Charlotte: Thanks Jack! The way this will work is that I'll read each book and once I finish them all, I will be telling Jack my ratings to see what he says. We will see you guys later with my ratings!

This part of the video ends with Jack and Charlotte waving at the camera before cutting to a compilation of Charlotte reading the books. In multiple clips, Charlotte can be seen in her own house and at Jack's house while reading. At certain times, Charlotte can be seen crying over different scenes of the book, and Jack comes into the frame trying to soothe Charlotte. In other clips, Charlotte cringes while reading and has to put the book down in shock and surprise. The video now cuts to the present time where Charlotte and Jack are sitting on her bed side by side.

Charlotte: Hey everyone so it's about a week after we recorded the intro and I am here with Jack again to give him my ratings for each of the books. I won't be giving a descriptive review in this video since that will be included in my monthly wrap-up and on my Goodreads, which if you don't have me on there, you can add me and see my ratings before I give them in my videos! Okay so let's get this going!

Jack: Let's go, baby!!

Charlotte can't help laughing at Jack's enthusiasm to hear her ratings.

Charlotte: Starting with Divine Rivals and If He Had Been With Me, I rated both of these as five stars. Now hear me out, they both had me crying like a baby at different points and as you saw in the clips of me reading, I was with Jack while I read these and he had no clue what was going on. I felt bad because he would be doing something and would drop everything to see if I was okay.

Jack: Yeah you guys have no clue how I would be doing like the dishes and she'd start crying and I would run to my room or the living room to check on her. I'm really happy you loved them both, but I'm not happy that they made you cry as much as they did.

Charlotte: Next up is Icebreaker by Hannah Grace, which was a three-star read for me. It was probably more smut than anything else, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but I liked everything else within the book. It was a good try with this one bub.

Jack: You win some, you lose some Char, but three stars is still pretty good so I'm not complaining.

Charlotte: Now, The Last Word was a four-star read. I enjoyed it, but it's scary to imagine being in Emma's shoes.

Charlotte: Last, but not least, is If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio. This one was a three-and-a-half-star read for me and that's because I know a fair amount about Shakespeare and his work, but at times I would get a little lost with the references. What do you think of the overall ratings of the books bub?

Jack: If I'm being honest, I'm proud of myself and the selections I made. Overall, you seem to have liked a good majority, and that to me is a win! I had a lot of fun picking what you read and would probably do it again.

hey lovely people! this is a shorter/buffer chapter. I wanted to do another video-style chapter, but I promise the next one will be back to the usual way these chapters are written. I feel like I'm slacking on these chapters and I feel so bad about it. Please let me know what you think or any thoughts you might have.
