𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 | 𝐣. 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬

𝟐𝟔 | 𝐣𝐚𝐜𝐤

Waking up this morning all I could feel was my head pounding after a long night out. I take a few deep breaths with my eyes still closed before turning my head to look over at Nico's bed. Once my vision is clear, I see that Nico's bed is nicely made and empty, but he probably hasn't been gone for long since the smell of his cologne still lingering in the air. 

My eyes move back to the nightstand and I reach out to grab my phone. Turning it on, I see hundreds of notifications and messages. What's going on? The messages are from Jesper, Gabi, Emilie, Nico, Luke, and even Quinn. They're all asking if I'm awake and asking me to explain what happened last night. Last night? What happened last night? I try looking through all the message notifications looking for one name in particular, but I can't find it. I ignore the messages and try calling Lotte, only for it to go straight to voicemail. Worry starts to stir in my stomach, but before I can think about it too much, Nico, Luke, and Jesper walk in. 

My eyes move toward them, and all I can see are three pairs of angry eyes staring back at me. "Why did you do it, Jack?" Speaking up first, Luke moves closer to my bed, Nico and Jack staying by the front of the room, waiting for my answer. My eyes crinkle in confusion, "What do you mean? What did I do?" I try to rack through anything I can remember from last night, but with this hangover, nothing comes to mind. 

"You don't remember what happened last night?" Slightly shaking my head, the worry that had started to stir in my stomach earlier was now growing. The guys all look at each other, no words being spoken, but it's clear they're figuring out what to say next. "Jack, last night we went out to a club and you got pretty wasted. A few fans found us there and took pictures and stuff." 

"One girl got close to you and I guess you were tipsy enough to get pretty cozy with her and-" Almost like magic, everything from last night comes back to me and my hangover disappears. Everything comes back to me, the drinks, the girl, and the kiss. Sitting up, I feel myself deflate and the only person that I can think of is Charlotte. Oh my god, what have I done? "The girls know and Charlotte knows too. We talked to the girls before coming up here and Char was crying by the time they ended the Facetime call." Looking at me with apologetic eyes, Luke knows that I'm racking through everything.

Tears fill my eyes in disbelief at what I'd done and the hurt I had caused the girl that I love. "Guys I need to talk to her. I tried calling her, but she didn't pick up. I know that she doesn't want to talk to me. Can you guys find out how she's doing? I don't want her to be alone." In one night I've possibly managed to screw up something that has made me the happiest man alive. 

"Look, Jack, even though we don't support what you did, we're sticking by you. We know how happy she makes you and we'll help you in any way we can. Give her some time and maybe try talking to her then." Not long after Nico finishes, Jesper chimes in, "Nicole's told me that they all plan on having a girl's night tonight and they'll make sure she's doing okay." As much as I'd like to call Charlotte and hear her voice again, I decided against it. As long as the girls are gonna be with her then I feel much better that she won't be alone. 

"Jack get up and ready. We're all gonna grab a bite to eat and we're gonna do some stuff before the game tonight." Luke throws the pillow at the end of my bed towards my head. They all sit on Nico's bed to watch TV as I head into the bathroom. As much as I'd like to stay in this room all day, I know that I need to get ready to play tonight and try to distract myself from everything that's going on. I hope that I'll be able to hear from Lotte soon.

guyssss I feel like this chapter was no bueno :( . In other news, thank you so much for 27k! When I first published this story here I didn't know if it was gonna get even a single read, but clearly past me has been proven wrong. I love you all!!
