CHAPTER NINE ! stop flirting and fight.

ALL of team cap run towards the quinjet, looking around at their surroundings. "there's our ride," clint says.
"come on!" steve yells, waving his arm. vision flys around and from the mind stone embedded on his forehead, he shoots a laser down, preventing the group from going any further.
"captain rodgers. i know you believe that what you're doing is right. but for the collective good, you must surrender now," vision's robotic voice echos throughout the valley.
tony and his group all line up parallel to steve and his own. "what do we do cap?" sam asks.
"we fight," steve states.
both teams start to walk, and then jog, and then run towards each other, meeting their equal match on the opposite side.
mckenna throws some medium sized rocks at peter, him dodging them and landing in front of her. they both strike eachother lightly, before wanda gets involved. peter gets the chance to kick mckenna and his foot becomes incapacitated by a red haze before getting thrown against a trailer. mckenna's eyes widen, as she didn't want to harm the unknown boy that bad. "you were pulling your punches," wanda states, going to go help clint.
mckenna rolls her eyes and goes to help bucky with black panther. she runs towards the two, jumping, and kicking tchalla in the side of the head. bucky looks over to the girl in triumph, raising his nonmetal hand for a high-five. mckenna takes it and swings herself around, kicking the running king back again.
spiderman comes swinging around her and then suddenly falls. "you're welcome gotta go," mckenna says, smiling to bucky and floating towards the teen. once mckenna gets there, she is stopped by the sight of a struggling spiderman under a fallen terminal.

" THAT thing does not obey the laws of physics at all!" peter exclaims.
"look kid. there's a lot of things that you don't understand," steve states.
"mr stark said you'd say that. wow," peter says, webbing both caps shield and foot.
he catapults himself to kick cap in the face, making him fly into the back of a truck, peter rolls under a suspended terminal, "he also said to go for your legs!"
cap runs to get his shield, being stopped by webs incasing his hands. he rips it off, peter webbing his shield, to which cap pulled him closer and hit him on the head.
peter shoots himself onto the top of the terminal and squats down. "stark tell you anything else?" steve asks.
"that you're wrong. you think you're right. and that makes you dangerous," peter replies, swinging down under the terminal and getting kicked by steve, into the wheel that is stabilizing the whole metal can.
"guess he had a point," steve states, throwing the shield into into the dented wheel. the trailer falls onto peter. "you got heart kid. where you from?" cap asks.
"queens," peter replies, grunting.
"brooklyn," steve states, running backwards.
a lilac haze encapsulates the trailer from above peter. "yo! get out of there!" mckenna yells, struggling to hold it up. he rolls out, mckenna dropping the trailer down behind him. she flips over the collapsed terminal and helps him stand up. "hey are you okay?" she asks, concerned.
"y-yeah. i'm good, thank you," he says, his voice cracking.
mckenna's coms start to go off and she turns the audio and mic off, not wanting to hear their stupidity. "do i know you?" she asks.
peter shakes his head back and fourth, "no, no. most definitely not," peter states, his eyes going wide under the mask.
"why did your eyes get so wide?" she asks, smirking.
"they- uhh. they just do that sometimes," peter lies, crossing his arms, and leaning on the fallen terminal, "listen mckenna, if you don't turn yourself in they'll find you. the feds- it won't end well. and you can still go to school and be a normal kid without getting arrested or something," peter rambles on.
mckenna holds her hand up, "wait, wait, wait, wait, how do you know my name?" she asks.
peter eyes go wide again. he goes to say something but gets cut off by an enlarged man. "holy shit!" the two teens exclaim.
"what do we do about that one?" peter asks.
"well he's on my team so, i'm covered. you have fun with that!" mckenna says smiling warmly.
peter remembers why's he's there and thinks of ways to stop him. "okay uhm, mckenna, this is going to sound really weird coming from someone who you," peter takes a pause to encourage himself to lie, "you've never met. but you should turn yourself in. i know you have this weird history with that metal arm dude but if you do they might let you off easy since you're a kid."
mckenna takes a moment, taking in what her unknown best friend said. "i'll think about it," she says, flying towards steve and bucky. sam flys over and takes tony with him.
scott throws rhodey towards peter, peter webbing onto him, stopping him from crashing into a plane. ant man continues to throw things around, causing mini fires all over. rhodey and peter fly around scott, peter webbing him while rhodey flies around.
mckenna frowns as she knows she should go after him, but she doesn't. scott throws peter down to the ground. expecting a harsh impact, peter squeezes his eyes shut, but he lands softly.
he sits up to see mckennas fingers have a purple haze to them, that fades from under him. she smiles at him and turns the other way and starts to run again. "she's so cool," peter whispers to himself.
vision lasers off the foundation of a large building to stop steve and bucky, but both wanda and mckenna hold it with their powers to let them go through.
rhodey sends an ultrasonic air wave towards the sisters, causing them to scream out in pain and fall to the ground.
peter swings around scott's legs, and tony and rhodey both punch him in the jaw, causing scott to fall backwards. peter gets flown back, near mckenna. he sees his best friend laying on the ground with her hands covering her ears.
"shit! shit! shit!" peter yells, not knowing what to do. he goes to sprint towards her but tony flies down and stops him. "mr stark i-" peter starts but gets cut off.
"peter. she cant find out. remember that," he says, before flying off towards rohdes.
"she can't find out," peter whispers to himself, looking at mckenna, and turning the other way.
