"That will be all Cedric. Thank you"
King Roland stated as the Royal Sorcerer did a respectful bow in front of the Royal Family at the dining room. At a corner, he spotted a certain auburn head waving at him with a smile on her face. He simply ignored her and just walked away
Despite his rudeness, Sofia wasn't fazed. Queen Miranda however notices this and got curious
"Sofia" she called her
"Yes Mom?" Sofia turned to her mother
"Is there a reason why Cedric treats you so harshly?" she asked
"I wouldn't put it that way..." she rested her finger under her lip, emphasizing deep thought "I say he's still not used to me"
"He's not used to you?"
Sofia nodded "Mister Ceedric may be cold and distant... but I know in time he will come to notice me and open up to me"
"What if it will take long, Sofia?" Intrigued, Queen Miranda asked again "Are you willing to go through all the effort just to make Cedric be used to you?"
She nodded again "It may take long... but I don't mind. I know Mister Ceedric will notice me being there with him this entire time, supporting him every step of the way" the look in her eyes explaining this reflects how dedicated she was "And when that day comes..."
She paused for a second to collect herself. She then took a deep breath and opened her eyes as her lips curves into a smile
"That day will be one of the best day of my life, Mom~"
Speechless, Miranda had nothing else to say as she just stared at her daughter like that. With her Mother's intuition, she knew her daughter's words had no hint of deception whatsoever. He really meant this much to her.
And reading between the lines, there definitely is something there... but Miranda knows Sofia is still too young to realize what those feelings are
For now, all she can do is watch. Whether Sofia will grow out of these feelings or not is entirely up to her. As Sofia said, she just wants him to get used to her.
But with the way she looks at Cedric every time... Miranda's Motherly Instincts tell her otherwise
