At seven o'clock the following day, Seonghwa no longer prepared documents like yesterday. He woke up much earlier, engaging in his usual activities—light exercise, cooking breakfast, and getting dressed. Just like how other productive people start their day.
However, not everyone followed the same routine. Song Jongho, a high school student known only for his simple merchandise, had just woken up before disturbing his twin brother, Song Yunho, who was engrossed in playing games, seemingly since who knows when. Jongho even doubted if his brother had slept the previous night. Dark circles were evident under his eyes, slightly blackened, although it didn't significantly affect his appearance.
"It's time for school!" Jongho could tell that Yunho lacked sufficient sleep. He seemed almost like a zombie, with his skin paler than Jongho's naturally.
"Jongho!"
Yunho shouted harshly, protesting as Jongho got out of the bed above him, then snatching the laptop that held his attention. Sitting on the bed for hours in front of a bright screen with muffled sounds in both ears made both of his legs stiff when he got up and chased after his younger brother.
"Jongho, give it back!"
Jongho didn't really act like the older, more mature brother. There was certainly no seriousness in his tone. He just didn't want to go to school without his brother, or he would end up contemplating alone and forget about the way.
An irritated Yunho, somewhat losing control of his body, accidentally kicked the bed of their eldest brother, Song Mingi, making him wake up and grumble in annoyance, although most of his mind was still in the dream world. The dozen beer cans around his bed were a strong indication that the twenty-six-year-old didn't seem to possess much sanity.
Luckily, fifteen minutes after the morning chaos, Yunho and Jongho could leave the apartment door with bright faces, even though their pocket money wasn't much. Jongho repeatedly tapped Yunho's shoulder, urging his brother to pay more attention than continuously focusing on another game on his phone.
If Jongho and Yunho had some issues with their older brother, Kang Yeosang, who happened to be the eldest in his family, had a problem with his father. He had just come out of his room, finishing getting ready with his distinctive style—shoulder-length intentionally messy hair and subtle makeup that made him look more beautiful than the average girl in his complex.
"Don't grab the wrong lunch," Taecyeon advised when his son approached the dusty wooden table where two stacks of money were placed. "The thicker one is for your sister," he continued.
"Why does Yeseo get more money? I'm ten years older than her. My study hours are also longer." Yeosang listed various reasons why he disagreed with his father's decision.
"Because Yeseo is a girl," Taecyeon responded without a hint of concern. He kept his gaze on the newspaper in his hands, not once looking at his son who gave him a disgruntled look. "She needs more, and it's more expensive too. I thought you knew women's stuff is pricier."
Yeosang snorted in frustration. With a few muttered curses, he took the thickest stack of money, then left the house while fixing his hair again. Yes, he admitted that women's needs were more, and they were more expensive. But it didn't mean he wouldn't protest the significantly lower pocket money compared to his sister's.
Elsewhere, someone had no desire to pay attention to hair arrangements like Yeosang did. Salazar Gomez, or sometimes known by his Korean name Jung Wooyoung, left his makeshift home, carrying a light bag with a guitar inside. No stationery or spare uniform, considering the clear stains in various places.
