life feels meaningless sometimes, so Heavy. so much but nothing is happening at the same time that seems to drag on and on. It may seem that everything is repetitive and the things that would bring you joy would seem so boring- so dead.
Eren thoughts were similar. He had found life a dull grey for the longest time, that life was a heavy burden that was going to feel even more empty once
older. He was just so done to put it simple. Months feeling like years while years felt never ending, like floating throughout space stuck in a time warp forever destined to watch yourself going through time but never feeling the time past at all.
He didn't have a lot of hope in finding the right time.
So imagine his surprise when a little bit of grey shined through his haze. Ironic right? But this grey was different from the mute sad dreary grey he'd been use to seeing through his eyes for so long.
This grey sparkled, this grey shined and he didn't like how he felt about that.
not one bit.

Once born Eren was surrounded by a lot of people, servants, chefs, nanny's. It wasn't a surprised if Eren saw a family member every two weeks.
The only family member he remembered seeing was his mom, the only constant in his life.
until she wasn't.
When Eren was five years old his mom was the only person beside him while he blew out his candles, she hugged him tight while Eren smiled at her.
At fourteen years old Eren got suspended, he had gotten into a fight at his public school near where he lived, his family- his mother- wanted him to grow up in a normal environment, and he did.
He got along with the people at his school well, his friends the only people he trusted including his mother. He was well liked enough to have something to do every weekend, and for him that meant a lot, consumed his whole mind.
He worked hard to be a people pleaser, accommodating anyone you could think of, he wave hi at his teacher, kids that basically were no ones in the schools hierarchy- one that Eren wanted to be on top of which he didn't have to work hard for, he was a prince, a genuinely cute fourteen year old, nice, friendly basically anything you'd want in a friend.
thats until his closest friend betrayed him.
His friend Marlo was one of his first best friends, Eren confided in him with everything, family problems, girl problems, school problem.
Marlo went behind Erens back and told the whole school that Eren had cheated on his girlfriend at the time with a girl from a different school, outrages for fourteen year olds causing them to immediately not question if Marlo was lying or not.
Eren didn't even get that lie, who actually believed that he'd go to a party? and cheat on his girlfriend by kissing a girl? like it genuinely confused him.
What hurt most was the rest of his close friends believed Marlo, none of them really liked Eren which he found out by accidentally eavesdropping their conversation in the library.
